Any news concerning the terrible scarring of the Hero from the original game? It pretty much forced me to play with permanent magical shield on since the weakest enemy was able to give you scars.

If I remember right, you only got scars if you "died" to any mob. You don't get scars just from getting hit.

Don't know 100% however.

Today we’re very glad to announce that we’ll be bringing modding support to Fable Anniversary on Steam! At launch there will be a free, optional download which will give you the Unreal 3 Editor and all the data from the game, enabling you to completely change any of the art or animation in Fable Anniversary. We are also working to integrate this into Steam Workshops sometime after launch.

Sadly it's not "complete" modding, you only have access to art/animation/sounds and you can't change the game itself or even add new content - which is an enormous shame - but still... itssomething.jpg

Can anyone give me a TL;DR of why I should be excited here?

Played the game a decade ago...what is the selling point of replaying it?

Better graphics?
Added content?

Same game, new engine and remade visuals. That's it really. No different to the "HD" remasters/re-releases of games on 360/PS3 and XBONE/PS4.

I've been out of the loop. I didn't know Anniversary was coming to the PC. Should be a fun bit of nostalgia, though, I probably won't remember a damn thing from the original.

I remember giving myself a lot of XP in the original and then wondering why I looked like a old man, funny how they tied aging to leveling up.

Also as someone said before the scarring system, I think in the later games you only get scars when you get defeated or otherwise badly injured but here it happened a lot more often until you got good armor.
(Well they sell plate armor in the first village but that's not something you can afford just like that.)

I remember grinding in the cemetery before that prison tower. The undead just kept spawning infinitely, and they were piss easy (one hit with a decent weapon or spell) and you could get INSANE combat multipliers for the xp you got.

Noticed Awesome asking about what DLC the game will have on Cs.rin

As far as I know there's several smaller DLC bundled into two (Not just the one you get for pre-ordering.) purchasable packs.

First the Scythe Pack adding a variety of armor and weapons and secondly the Heroes and Villains Pack (Not part of the pre-order offer.) giving some alternate outfits such as from what I've read you can dress up as Jack of Blades.

They've been giving out codes (Very few.) on the Steam forums and stuff like Facebook but otherwise it's a separate purchase and I think both will be available when the game releases.
(Meaning they should be part of the game and should be available with a crack / emulator that can handle Steam DLC.)
