Did anyone here actually went back to Sims 3 with all the expansions? I couldn't play it because the game lags like crazy with all the added content. Did you have that problem?

Sims 3 is an unplayable pile of shit with all the expansions. The expansions/DLC for the most part add some really cool stuff, and I watched my girlfriend play a lot of it.
That being said, the game ran like hog shit and each expansion running on top of the base game makes it run even worse.
Of course Sims 4 is going to be worse at release; it doesn't have 50 million expansions that give you everything from adventuring, to whatever the fuck.

Yea, I was hoping there was a way to do it. Sims 3 would have been truly amazing with everything that was released.

You have no idea just how right you are. Installed that All in One release I mentioned a few posts above - the loading times were so fucking ludicrous it wasn't even funny (more like disgusting really).
Hell, even the character creator took 30 minutes to get through because every time you'd cycle to a new category it'd load the objects up one by one, row by row.
It's a damn shame really - as I remember it being fun to play before it became that bogged down.
The only question that remains now is how long before TS4 reaches that exact same state.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

What I find hilarious is that the DLCs for The Sims 3 are still € 39,90 on the store, and there are 11 of them. Plus the Stuff addons, € 14,90 each, 9 of them.
If they keep increasing them (and they will), it will be more convenient to actually buy a real house instead xD
@blackdochia: even worse then! |
It's still woth it!
 |
ok, that is just fucked up, the most excessive milking i ve ever seen, why do people buy that crap?
it makes me sick, i ll never touch this shitty franchise again

Don't forget the in-game online store, but you could of course download a pack containing all that content for the cracked version of the game.
(Though from what I've read that also makes it pretty slow since it has to load all that new data.)

Done that mate, in fact I have followed the instructions to the letter. I still get the TS4 has stopped working error.
Tried renaming the par file, turning off my anti-virus etc. In fact every little tip and hint I could find, still no joy

Sims 3.
Only reason, is that you can grab all DLC with the base game (around 40Gb) for fuck-all.
You will not be able to do that with this for another few years, at least, or till Sims 5 comes along |
Nope
Sims 4 all the way...
Because you can build your very own Space Rocket in your garden !
Oh shit ! There is even an Apollo 11 replica reward for the space career.
Seriously, if you want content or so many options/stuff to not knowing what you actually want to do : stick with The Sims 3
If you want better Sims/House creation tool, smarter AI ... Emotions !!
========> The Sims fucking 4 is for you
And finally as The Sims 4 is no more "openworld" EA will be able provide us even more "cheap" Addon/DLC than that old crawling Sims 3.
 |
I actually agree with u. I play'd it for 2 hours now, and already had more laughing moments than Sims 3. Try to hear what they are saying, still fake, but the emotions you can tell if they say yes or no, things like that, reactions, I just find it very comic. Allthough it stays the sims, so I'd probably be gone within a week..

It not being open world is not a good thing at all. It just shows that they're lazy or incompetent.

Impatience is great in this one, or maybe it's because I remember times where it could take months if not more! *shakes fist*

Yes, see people who like me bought the game legitimately get to enjoy the tedium and sparseness of the game with no crashing or pixelations

Do all the cracks still require Origin and an account for it?

Is there a way to not have the gap around the hipped roof? It's fucking ugly and looks like it's floating.
