not sure why they look like low gfx rate, everything is on the highest with a 7800gtx...

It's the file format it's saved in that makes it look low gfx. Razz

Maybe put a banner about no downloads on the NFO page. People aren't reading the threads. Just posting.

Laughing...thanks to who? Laughing

Anyway, Call of Duty 2 is great. Better than FEAR, Quale 4 and BIA:EIB and the rest of fps's that have come out this year. Its dramatic, graphics are really nice, fun, easy gameplay, simply awesome.

The game ran really crappy at the beginning (slower than the demo), then I tweaked the ini a bit.
Its located in gamedir/main/players/playername/config.cfg

Code:
seta r_anisotropy "8"

If AF is activated it automatically sets to 8, players with faster cards can change that to 16 and players with slower cards can change it down to 2 or 4.
I changed mine down to 4 and got around +15fps!!!

Code:
seta r_glow "0"

also a very nice setting, if you change the value to 1 you get soft lightning like in Brothers In Arms.

Glow ON:

how long is this game? any1 completed it? does it have the same annoying checkpoints as the demo did? they were alright but it made survivng kinda meaningless. and I know for a fact that if it continued there would be a part where you'd just get stuck on for ages.

checkpoints like in the demo? kill a wave of 3 enemies and checkpoint.. walk around a corner checkpoint.... kinda stupid if u ask me and just raises the problems in the scenario there ^.

Hmm well dont play it then if its that much of a prob for ya. I think the shear quallity of this game for sure balances any check point anoyance one might have anyway.

Exactly like that Sublime.
I personally dont mind, although a quicksave function would had been sweet.
I really hate the fact that you cant see how much life you have left. This destroys the gameplay in my opinion since I have to sit down somewhere safe for problary way more seconds than I would really need if I could actually see my HP fill up.

But regardless of it flaws, it's a decent game.
