yep, cant even launch it anymore. a few times it worked to delete the xml when its stucked at loading, but now its always stuck at loading. doesnt matter if the file is already there or not

It happens at times (was in the first beta and now). Usually closing and restarting makes it work. Kinda feels like the 80's/90's method of slapping something  |

Well, fuck me sideways... I was trying to figure out if I needed some special upgrade to proceed in the game, but turns out max lvl is 10. A little popup saying so would be nice. Oh well...

yeah lv 10 is waaaaaaaaay too low.. something tells me that the actual "story" missions for leveling are going to be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery short and you will be max level within a few days 
Car is now lv171.. But i want the Nissan.. but it's 120k or something.. and i'm on a lousy 30k now with no proper option to earn money in these last few days 
Btw are they adding other currency too, currency you can buy with real money? Seeing as there are 2 currencies ingame.. Guess pathetic ubisoft at it's best?
I doubt that this whole server issue is going to be solved at launch.. The method they use (input gets send to server and then processed, instead of input processed and what you did being send to server to sync up with others) is just far too fucking bad for a game like this..
I hope that there will be private servers coming out, so you don't have to put up with ubisoft shit servers.

It's online racing. Don't think it'll be cracked.

Meh... wasn't very impressed by the beta, had a bunch of weird graphical issues. This feels like it should be one of those free to play games honestly....

@IamAWESOME: not quite right. depends on how its implemented in the final version. if the game allows offline mode (i.e. not always online drm) its no problem, nobody forces you to play with others.
wont buy it, maybe if its on sale for 5-10 bucks next year and there are enough people playing it maybe maybe

I think the game is fun and looking toward the full release.
Controls/handling is just fine for an arcade racer, and only gets better with few basic upgrades and more then five minutes of gameplay. The starter cars do handle like bricks but that is not too far off from reality.
The map is large and varied, and although obviously not to scale I was pleasantly surprised to see parts of Chicago looking very familiar.
The challenges and missions are basic but satisfying. However the way you are able to drive towards your next race and complete some random challenges on the way AND equip the newly acquired parts without pausing for a second is pure awesome.
Visuals are nothing to write home about but considering this is a MMO they work well.

I really wouldn't pre-order it in it's current state. First release and see how the servers hold up before doing anything tbh..
Yes i know it's beta, but know it's Ubisoft too, when did they ever do something server/online related properly?

Even so, server emu can still be made. Enough online only games have rather proper emu's

People complained a lot about the driving in GTA IV but at least it felt like you were driving a car in that game and when you crashed it was fun. It's a real shame as I think I would've massively enjoyed this game otherwise, unlike a lot of other people I like the online aspect of the game but the driving just plain sucks. Or maybe I've been spoiled by GTA IV (which I know isn't technically realistic as such but at least it's fun). |
I love the driving in all gta's. They always have fun arcade driving. Unfortunately this game's driving is everything but fun. It's TDU2 all over again. I wish Rockstar made another Midnight Club.

I genuinely thought the game was going to be F2P with the extremely slow "bucks" gain and double currencies, but nobody answered me when I asked about it.
So it's not and it's just Ubigreed being themselves? That's cool.

I think it was meant to be a full price title, but who knows what they're gonna do after the Beta, never seen anything with Crew Credits anywhere.

Oddly enough i managed to fix my freezes by setting the process priority to high and disable core 7 (HT on core 4)... not a single freeze for hours now while playing with and without crews
Same for my friend on his i5, disabled core 4 and set process to high and not a single freeze anymore (while before his was freezing nonstop and was unplayable)...

Got beta key yesterday, downloaded, started, everything runs just fine. That is, cars feel like they are made out of paper, every bump on the road sends them flying, handling is poor and you start with police chace, could it be more cliche than that? Installed after 5-10 minutes of playing.
