13 multiplayer maps. 4 of them are old maps from the earlier game, somewhat remade.

The only mode different from CoD 1 (Not UO), is HQ mode (Headquarters)

4 videos from Cod2 MP, various quality and quite short.
Enjoy! |
OMG this game kicks ass! The shotgun is awesome. I'm not sure but I don't think remember a shotgun in COD 1.

and the fact it has no PB either is a bit of a disapointment for the MP side of things too |
The dude who created the PAM mode for Call of Duty is working on an even better anti-cheat tool for CoD2 than PB.
"We are working on an anticheat that works for all games and it doesn't rely on md5's etc.
As for you PB fans out there, quake 4 that was released a few days ago has pb. The pb in quake4 was bypassed in a matter of minutes. As I have said elsewhere in these forums, once you have pb cracked, its like 20 lines of code to have your hack detect when pb wants a screenshot, turn off your on screen hacks, let pb get a clean screenshot, then automatically turn your hacks back on."
"Our ac isn't reactive - ie we don't waste our time having to wait for cheats to come out and identify them etc like pb.
Instead we focus on how cheats work and what they do - protect direct 3d / opengl from being touched etc and you stop a lot of hacks etc.
Yes we have code to do screenshots.
Yes there would be a client and a server - master ac server if you will. Fortunately I own a server company now so servers aren't a problem.
Cheating death, serverwatch, vac2, pb, even the new esea client - all hackable in under 10 minutes with the right tools. Not only that, but with the right tools, you can get reverse engineer the ac and get the source code.
Our goal is to have the HiDef-AC ready in time to show off at winter CPL (Dec 14. - 1 supporting CS, Quake 4, CoD2, and Fear if possible.
The main code supports all games, but if you want config checking then you need game specific code to check client cvars.
There will be a client and a server piece and neither are mods as they work for all games.
I'll keep you updated as I am sure we will want testers."

yeah i seen that, sounds promising. To be honest i think PB was a bit of a placebo, but was better than nothing. Hopefully this anti cheat amounts to something

Yeah, I have high hopes for it to work better than PB.
