I saw a comment on 360iso that yes, if you have a save from original D3 then you can start from act 5.

You can even import your Diablo 3 save game to XBONE/PS4 versions 
Which is gonna lead to hacking in the xbone/ps4 versions too I guess... Blizzard were idiotic on this one since they could have had the XBONE/PS4 versions "hack free".

You either import your diablo 3 ps3 save game or finish all 4 acts again on ps4.

I tried again the PS3 version after 1y of playing the original one 5min, and I was still surprised how nice it performs/looked for a PS3 port honestly, even having played the original on PC !
If you never ever played Diablo III, and wanna play it, please don't buy it and pirate the PS360 versions !
