I give it ago. I liked the first one.
Also I respect CloneCD/DVDs more than a cracked game but I would like to have mini-images for them though. Why you ask? Easy! I can update the game and I will not have any problem bitching with a .exe!

I dont get it, a game should be played in its original language or? like films, I live in Germany BUT HATE those bad voice over actors, and it looks totaly silly with the out of sync lip movements. Thank god for Original Language Cinemas, or DVDs

can't think of a way to prevent that prob?
easy solution, boy:
make a folder named "original exe files", and put all your original exe files in there. so before you patch it just copy back your original exe and its fine.
the word is: t h i n k

It's a CloneCD. If you leave it mounted in Daemon you can update the game, because.................................................
You have the cd mounted (like a big mini image)

I've just tried the Mirror CD version : OMG, i've never seen such 3d engine optimizations problem. Sometimes (and without evident reasons) the framerate goes from 85+ fps to 15-20 fps and this even on high-end rig (see my sig with 7800gtx and 3800+ !!!)
It's a pity since the gameplay was cool regarding other FPS (in other words, there was a scenario here) . Let just hope that they'll fix this problem with a patch. But ATM don't expect to have a good framerate with this one !

I really, truly, enjoyed the first game. But this one is a whole damn lot worse.
Worse texturing, crappy mission & level design.
Everything feels like a Valusoft-title, except for maybe some smaller details.
It has coop tho, that's worth a lot to me.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Yeah, Vietcong (+ Fist Alpha) is one of the timeless ones. Perfect balance of linear design and realism with no silly hand-holding, no invasive HUDs/markers, no Cowadoody fuckyea-isms, just immersive shooting done right. The LS3D was a solid engine for the time, very PC-centric and capable of delivering punchy gunplay in most of the titles using it, including Mafia and Hidden and Dangerous 2.
The sequel was for me a massive disappointment, but by today's rotten standards it probably still manages to stand out

I still remember - in Vietcong (1) - walking slowly through the jungle, avoiding traps, and giving orders to a local pointman called Nhut.
