You don't need to play for more than an hour to conclude that the combat is shit made for 12yo console durrs, and that it will likely bring down the whole experience (for me, at least).
I know a guy that has a huge love/hate relationship with the games, he loves most of the history settings from the games since he's a huge history buff, but is always pissed about the shit combat and poor gameplay (his words). He's just suffered through AC3 and won't be repeating the experience, but he is already both frightened and awed by Unity, since it takes place on his favorite history period if I'm not mistaken.

I would say "Lower down the difficulty to very easy or bring down the console and type tgm, if you still don't like it then maybe you should stick with playing AC games".
