Already starting with Disk Locked Contents? Now I get why the game isn't moddable Sad
I'll most likely buy it when it gets released, but the idea of having a fragmented (incomplete) game concerns me. Hope their policy is a wise one, because Simbin went overboard with DLCs/fake expansions for their games and look where they are now.

Why are you linking an article from 6/10/14 3:00am?

Also they had it confused with Driveclub, PCars looks bad while you're actually playing it, only good in trailers because of smart camera usage, zoom in on the cars and DoF.

Looks good enough for me when looking at vids of Pax. More so, the handling actually looks fun! I can forgive a lot when handling is to my liking, I can't forgive as much for something pretty with mediocre handling.

That being said, I really don't think bad is the right word for how it looks.

Oh ! Yes same here, but I used the Rift so I thought it was because of it.

But it looked fine in the "Open Broadcaster Software" clone windows I use until they fix this damn HMD direct mode.
In the rift clear weather looked almost like heavy storm brightness.

Hey paxsali, sorry if it's already been asked and responded to... but what are you running pCARS on? Seems to look and run, incredibly well even with lots of AI.

I've got an i7 3.4ghz and a GTX 780 and 32GB system RAM. Do you think i'll have a good time with it?

same here, xeon 1230v1@3,6ghz on all cores, 8gb ram, gtx 770

everything ultra aa=ds2x. actually with fxaa off, smaa ultra. but smaa in this case causes massive framedrops sometimes

can you just clarify the 4x3.4Ghz you have written there. It sounds silly, but it just looks like a 3 CPU setup and I don't even know if you can do that.

And thanks, i'd love a video showing that. Is there also a chance that you might throw in a throaty V8 and get some good exhaust note viewpoints in there.

I'm absolutely dying to get my hands on this game, and kick myself so much for not paying in when I could have.

EDIT: oh, and it'll be a single screen 1920x1080. Definitely not a 4K triple Smile

You know, I remember when this forum was talking about pCARS and showing it off way back, and people talked about how damn impossible it was to play it smooth, so it's clear that they've really smashed some optimisation into it.

I can only hope Assetto Corsa does the same thing, because max grid on my rig runs very smoothly, but when everyone lights up at the beginning of the race, it's sub 10 frames, easily.

well definitely good news all around. I wish to hell they released a single car, single track demo or something, or just......something.

Somehow I deluded myself into thinking it was an October release, but I confused it with Alien, so it's another month on top.

I did that with rFactor 2.

As much as I want to say "i just upgraded", the fact that my old PC can be hooked up and turned on in the other room, says I bought a new PC. Case and all

I suppose way back when, there weren't the current spec of i7 and GTX 780s and Titan's and whatnot. I guess I was just mostly hoping that I wouldn't need an SLI setup, as I think price vs performance trade off, just isn't worth it.

Performance wise it's worse than before, because it looks better now Crying or Very sad

My puny AMD (look @ sig) is dying! On Azure coast I have sub 20FPS, on the rest close to 30... If I set everything to the lowest possible :'(

VERY VERY CPU heavy game! You should be fine with your intel powerhouse!

Either way, just know that I couldn't envy you guys, being able to play it right now, any more than I am right now. I really wanna race that California highway. Reminds me of the Coastal section on the original NFS

Yeah, it's quite old, but it's still a quad core CPU. It's from the same time as ... Intels Core2Quads I think... It's basically the Phenom II's lil brother.

Crysis 2 with everything on very high/extreme, DX11 patch and high res texture patch, runs very good f.e.

You are completely right! The cars that they offer as unlock are already in the version that we drive around, as you can see the M1 procar in every other video Paxsali and I make.

I think it's sad and I would've loved an open track and car format.
