If you have the pet pal trait it's much easier.

102 hours down, and I've finished the game! *phew* - the final battle was a bit retarded, but awesome game!

I'm playing on hard. I think I did almost all the quests in the city and I'm level 3. I've left the city to go to the northern beach and I've met 3 zombies level 5. I barely scratch them with my tiny damage.

How else am I supposed to level up ?

I played an all-zombie party, so no healing spells or protection spells. Was frustrating as hell since basically the fight was designed around having them.

Still I managed to let the NPC (who joins the fight) die at the final battle, the "game over" screen that happened then was quite unexpected Very Happy

Just when I think I'm unbeatable at level 17, I get my ass kicked by death knights Sad The rest of the baddies in the forest aren't a big problem, but death knights are still hard. Are they supposed to be hard at this point or am I doing something wrong?

They weren't hard for me but only because I had Leech + Comeback Kid on Madora and a ton of HP/resistances on my tank. Madora was almost always at 1 HP when fighting them, especially if they managed to use that nasty witchcraft spell that hits for like 800 damage. As soon as you get lvl 18 spells the Death Knights are a cakewalk though.

Not rly when u play with 2 mages and a tank with 100% resistance (easily attained at that lvl). Then u just use 2 summons + ur tank, and voila instant triple tankage power Smile Then u just hammer away with whatever dps u got.

Also a rogue should be OP at that lvl (with a good crafted dagger), that with sensibel stats+haste = 1kill per round for your rogue (knights might take 2... Smile)

What made this soo easy for me was Madora who would absorb all elements and with a crafted 2hander for crit she did over 800damage with 30% crit rate, use the flurry? skill that hits multiple times and she insta-killed everything in 1 hit, except for the very last boss which took about 3 hits. Razz

These Titans do elemental dmg only. My warriors had 100% + resistance to all elements so that fight (in fact every fight in the endgame, on hard difficulty) was trivial . Put some rubies on chest armor and helmet, maxing resistances on warriors in this game is insanely easy.

Finished it, took me a little over a month pretty much having played nothing else (except 1h of walking dead ep 4). Good game although I'm mad at myself for having to google a few times to figure out what to do in certain quests. And even then I had like 6-7 sidequests that weren't completed at the end.

End fight was relatively easy, especially since I had like 5 blood stones left over Very Happy

what annoyed me was that i couldnt finish the war of stones quest, i butchered everyone and searched the whole town over and over again (wizard´s house and the dungeon too), yet it was still the only quest left as incomplete at the end, bugged out on me.

Yeah that one didn't complete for me either, also butchered everyone. I'm guessing either the mountain leader or orc leader had to stay alive after the first fight.

It won't complete if you butcher everyone. You have to leave a named character alive from the camp you supported to end the quest.

Finally finished this today..such an amazing game and easily RPG of the year for me.
Despite initially encountering a few issues, most of these were quickly resolved in the subsequent patches and updates, the frequency of which should put "bigger" developers to shame.

Bitter-sweet for me is that now I only have mostly mediocre games to look forward to, including RPG's which are more hack 'n' slash in nature compared to this work of beauty. Perhaps Wasteland 2 might ease the pain somewhat in September, and while DA: Inquisition should be fun, it doesn't fall anywhere in the realm of Divinity.

Hello everybody!

We had a small holiday to recuperate from the release but are back now and are going to continue with updating and improving Divinity:Original Sin.

Expect new companions, plenty of quality of life improvements (in the game at least wink ) and more from us in the coming weeks.

Today's update includes a number of fixes and also introduces UI scaling.

Just go to options/game and use the UI scaling slader if you the user interface is too small/large for you.

Here is the list of other changes:

Introduced UI scaling
Fixed translations of the journal, level names and secrets
Fix for corrupted packed files
Fixed the modding menu
Fixed Henchman XP issue when hiring
Fixed status icons being empty when a character is charmed
Fixed issues when characters stopped following each other
Fixed crash when closing trade before icons are loaded
Fixed invulnerable status of death knights being reapplied after save/load
Minimap moved back to top layer
Fixed rare crash when resurrecting
Fixed Henchmen changing visual after save/load
Fixed race condition with cooperative dialogs
Improved memory footprint on win32
Fixed enemy portrait targeting with special arrows

Editor fixes

AI grid generation fix
It's now easier to add new scripts
Fixed a number of crashes
Improved error reporting when there's an issue with file copying
Remove Perforce status icons if you don't have perforce

Have fun!

Agreed.
I think this will be deserving of a replay once some new patches and content drop.
Need another RPG of this caliber soon! A new Drakensang game would be sweet.

fact that its still a top seller in steam is amazing for this little belgian studio, i hope they do upgrade the engine soon, somehow i expect a little more on the gfx front in 2014-2015 , heck their very first game released in 2002 looks not that far off

I actually found the visuals, especially the environmental/elemental effects, pretty good for a game in this genre. New companions with more interesting backgrounds/personalities and related quests would be good.

Anyone know if Larian has said anything about a possible expansion? Because that would be great!
