Anyone else bought the signed Special edition btw? I cant decide if im to open it or not. I understand that it goes down in price if you open it...but wtf do I want with a box that I cannot open? Very Happy

Serious collecting is just for watching the unopened box itself (this goes for action figure collecting too, and i'm sure many other types of collecting). So it really depends on how serious you are about it. If it will be considered one the true classic RPG's sometime in the future, the price will go up.. It's rare that prices goes into the extremes though.

Yeah thats what I though..I do get a couple of digital copies aswell so its not as if i actually MUST open it to play it. I kind of like the whole idea that the team has signed it too Smile

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

They mentioned in a podcast interview today that release might be pushed back to early September due to a delay with shipping the physical rewards.

What’s New in this Build?

When we pulled the changelist from our source control (since the last update), it was 551 uncurated PAGES of bug fixes, polish and iterated features.

Very Happy

This was a nice update. Much better balance, graphics and sound are improved, higher FPS, and the UI is much better. Also random encounters now actually feel random, including differences in time of day and weather. 304mb hotfix was just released as well, but no change log for it.

Having tried the latest patch, I must say the game is shaping up nicely. I still won't play through the content available though - I'll wait for the gold master Smile

Why would a goat need a condom?
(Actually one of the rangers proclaimed I was an asshole for killing the goat and that he loved it so since I found the condom on - or rather in - it's dead body..)

Like the improvements since last I played the game, which was back when it was first released in beta so it's been some time since I last played it, not much to complain about but they could have chosen a better game engine though that would have either increased costs or the amount of time needed if they had created their own.

Well that too is one possibility, they do eat most anything come to think of it.

Going to have to try a new game to see if it's a set item or if it's random.
(Would be nice to find a energy weapon..)

I've played 8 hours of the last build cause I couldn't wait.

I was (am) stupid, I'd wait if I was you. I'm not gonna play ANY different than last time, so putting me up to playing it 8 hours again... That's not gonna be as fun as it would be.

And if you do play, take stock chars, create your own when you play final.

Does the game support surround sound? Most Unity games don't have it so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks. Why is it stupid to play with current build ?
A lot of content missing ? Or they're just working on performance and tuning (Beta doesn't mean what it used to anymore..)

I think it's still missing the second half of the game / second map and beta save games will not be compatible with the final game code which will be available in a month or so. Smile

jesus, what's happening. Devs won't even name phases of software properly anymore to gain a few bucks my misleading people.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Beta

"Beta...
It generally begins when the software is feature complete."

Ok, thanks. I guess I'll just wait for "gold".

I think that in this case it's deliberate to not show the player(s) everything in the game, similar to how Divinity Original Sin worked or the ongoing Elite: Dangerous beta to name a few titles.

I also thought of beta as feature complete (Although a bit rough, still needs some Q&A testing and all that.) but it seems to vary from game to game what's actually made available to the public players in alpha and beta builds.

Wasteland 2 Last Beta Update, release date delayed to september

a quick note on the release date. It’s pretty likely that we will slip into the first or second week in September due to fulfillment of the physical goods and discs. We will give an exact date as soon as we know it.

You're late, and the delay isn't confirmed right now. I'm hoping it won't happen but if they have to do it they have to do it.

In the update that came today it says;

"If you backed a tier which included a Wasteland 2 key we have exciting news for you. Starting now, you can head over to the Products tab in your Account Profile to snag your Wasteland 2 Steam key."

Is this a new key or what? I activated it on Steam over a month ago.

edit: nvm, i guess it means it's for PoE users who had a tier with Wasteland 2.
