Depending on how much I won (under $10million), I would still work. I mean, u'd have no stress at work...if ur boss pisses u off, throw a $100 dollar bill at him, call him a bitch and drive away in your viper, ya know?
And I didnt make this a poll vote thing because I think they are way to impersonal, just chosing YES or NO...I'd rather hear someone's logic behind their answer rather than just an answer....

Anything over 100K I would use to make a job .. the more money the more potential for making an income builder that requires less time & effort IMo .. some things like money, diamonds & gold .. continue to build currency just by being there .. so the more you win the larger the interest pool you can start up. like opening a new spring .. the more you win the bigger the whole you can dig out .. to create fluid income ..
fluid income is true financial security .. just a lump sum in your hands is quite worthless Imo unless it is working for you ..

If it was $50m +, I would invest it, and live off the interest. That comes out to $208k/month with just 5%. That's enough to live as luxuriously as I'd want (new ferarri? check. Luxury apartment in midtown Manhattan? Check. $20k/week spending money? Check. etc...)
As for inflation, I would probably not spend $200k in one month, probably more like $40-100k considering leases, rent, etc. Once I'd find some place I want to settle down, I could always buy it and eliminate the rent entirely.
In other words, if the winnings were enough to live off of, I'd invest about 50-80% in high-interest but solid investments, the rest in liquid investments I could readily spend money out of, and live from that.

If I won now, any amount, I'd buy the place I work at, revamp it so that the workers will actually be happy to work there, fire the bitch of a boss, and then sell the place again, or blow it up, I haven't decieded yet.

My Job is 25 times worse then the one in "Office Space" so yea, deffinetly, I would open some business too...
About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.
Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

My current job involves getting up at 6am giving myself a hour to drive 25 miles on one of the busiest motorways in the uk.
There's regular accidents traffic jams delays etc.
I spend 11 hours away from home and only work 8 and a half.
If I won say £5 million I would give up that job.
If u had a vast ammount of money and therefore no real need for a job apart from something to pass the time, I dont think u could work for a company. You would be walking out every time you get stressed.

lol... you need a job to keep you occupied? i mean... its really lame if you lack hobbys/creativity which fill out most of your time... if i would win an amount of which i could live from for the rest of my life(with investments etc) i wouldnt stay on a regular job... and id still be busy enough to not get bored...

I'd go crazy without work, but I would certainly extend my vaccations.

Thank you.
As for filling up your spare time, for fucks sake... If you need a job for that, that is pathetic...
Some of the things I would do:
- Tour the world w/ my gf
- Tour the pubs of the world w/o my gf and bang at least 3 chicks in every country
- Learn programming
- Get a PhD
- Get into game modding/creation
- Build a weapon collection (both firearms & sharp weapons)
- Star in a movie
- Move to amsterdam
- Have a house built, then install several custom systems w/ some sick terrabytes of storage
- Host parties at the house and bang every hot chick there
- Get into DJ'ing
- Have a bar built inside the house with a full-time bartender and almost every kind of alcohol in existance
- Start a business (something tech-related, obviously)
- Buy 6 rare cars and build 1 (1 for every day of the week)
- Build a theater inside of my home
- Fly to manhattan and give 5 random people on the street $100
etc...

Since the lottery/power ball is like $300+ million, guy I work near always likes to comment on what he'd do. He would do like most of you, invest it like I would also. I wouldn't go hog crazy and spend spend spend. First couple months would be like that cause your buying the stuff you always wanted then ya gotta stop. Man, fuck renting anything, buy it.
Vote Pro-Gun.

One of my dreams is walking to my boss, and say: "I'm not coming tomorrow".
Actually, i'd rather just call the office and say i wont show up.
Just leave them hanging.
And when they would pull out the contract and all that shit, i would simply throw some money at them. It is more a question of causing them some disturbance rather than stop working.
But basically, the minute I will have enough money that will enable me to stop working - i would do that. i have better ways to spend my time.
Accelleron had some nice points.
I don't even want the kind of money that would make me live in some MTV crib - just let me continue my life without the need to wake up each morning and go to the office.
And i will travel. First South East Asia then.. the world!

U'd be the richest cop around gold guns and diamond encrusted holster
I'd be ballin in a nice benz coverted to my personal cruiser (engine tweaked to shit and all that stuff cop mechanics do).
Speaking of cop mechanics/auto shops, is it legal to tweak ur car out like the cruiser's?
Like can I go to my local division, ask for the name and number of their mechanic and get him to tweak out a friend's car? Or if i had a car, my car?
Cuz I know the new Chargers, the cop car Charger's are tweaked to the teeth - just as fast/powerful as any highend racing car
And whats the other new cop car? The charger and whats the other one again? Both made by Chrsyler/Dodge in brampton....

Hell yeah i would quit.
Since i don't work tho, i would continue on my path of hedonism and waste. (years of experiance, I mean, stick with what ya know, ya know??)buy a few politicians and change these god awful copywrite laws. Then buy the worlds largest and fastest servers in the world and place them stretegicaly around the globe.
Other than having Ashley Simpson cut at the vocal chords to further the efforts of world peace....and world legal weed, I couldn't think of a reason.

I think I would just put the millions in the ban and live off the interest ...while still woring at least for some time ... considering how most lottery winners end up miserable i would try to live life normally, no ferraris and bullshit but i would be happy to be able to get anything i want at the time i want it, not all at once just because i can ... there are better ways of enjoying the money then just spending it all ... also I love my wor so I would try to become more involved as a partner with all my ideas ...
fuck ...

My parents and my GF are wealthy, wich pretty much makes ME the winner of the genetic lottery ( since i'm good looking and wealthy) And yes i dont have to take just "any" job, i do what i do an i do it mostky for fun!
On a serious note though, my grandfather founded the company that salvaged the swedish failiure WASA and a bunch of other ships around the world, thats where most of the familly money comes from on my mothers side, my fathers side is a totaly different story!
I have always made my own mone thoug, without the help of any "trustfund", since my father tought this was the only way to show brats like me, my brother & sister how to do it.
I hated him for that, but now i understand what he ment, and i still havent used any money from the fund. Except 6000 euro in 1997 to buy a comp and equip....boy was it excpensive back then;-)
Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most!

Man I so want that, I have a feeling that I will forever live with a middle class egonomy Though the typical answer for that would be: "Get an education"! right?
