It does have AA, although I'm not sure what method. From the shimmering on some of the textures (especially when you get outside after the prologue; that white wall shimmers quite a bit) I'd say it's some form of PPAA, but then all 3 common PPAA forms deal with transparency better than we get to see here, which looks like MSAA is used.
And like I said a year ago, this is what ND had in mind. The higher framerate makes it feel so much better (anyone who says it doesn't has either got shit in his eyes or is a lying piece of shit <3). The resolution is a quick way of making it look even better and they've toned down the blur overall too.
Now show me what you can do with a game developed for the console Naughty Dog <3
Will upload a video once it's finished transferring (which is painfully slow ;().

Hehe, we've been saying that for years but all we get "lolol PC Master Race where's GTA5? hahalolol can't see more than 30fps anyway, elitist pricks top lel" -- seriously, once you've played at 60fps it's a hell of an adjustment to go back down to 30, everything literally feels like slow judder-filled motion.

I know Sabin that you are just giving an example, but I don't think anyone here has said (neither me nor KC ) that 60 fps was for elitist pricks and that we (I ?) couldn't see the difference.
After playing 60 fps games for ages, it never stopped me from enjoying 30 fps ones too.
Sure, if I can play the 60 fps version why the hell would I play it 30 fps ?
That's exactly what I said...
Elitist PC pricks are the ones that think that any PC can run any console game 60 fps constantly and that "consoles are the cause of bad performances in some games (Ubisoft ?)".
Will GTA 5 run at 60 fps ? I doubt it, not on ps4 at least and on PC it will depend of your PC...
Ps : elitist pricks are the ones that think that in a few years a shitty PC will be able to emulate TLOU ps3 and "make it look better than the ps4 version".
And I'll tell to these elitist pricks : you guys are idiots, an emulator won't suddenly pull out better assets and textures of a game.

@cyclonefr
That's quite alright, for every one of those elitist pricks, there's 2 elitist console pricks (one from each camp, because) who throw any combination of:
- lol you cant see more than <16/24/29/30> fps anyway
- 1080p is useless, cnt see from couch <followed by a post somewhere else that says "omg 4k want on ps4">
- ps360 requires $2000 pc
@TheGaper
I take it you have never used PCSX or PJ64?

Fuck, I forgot to mention the asshats that'll jump on you if say that a developer was visibly held back by a platform that should've died several years earlier and that you wish they had been given a newer/better platform already. Not that I've had them jump on me, not at all.

Unfortunately the video recorded by the PS4 is 720p
I've saved 2 videos and I'll upload them tomorrow, but quality is substantially less than screenshots.

God damn.... I had forgotten just how hard this game is.
I fucking suck at precision aiming with a controller, headshots are nearly impossible for me to execute.

Surray wrote: | Yeah sure it's still just a PS3 game and doesn't hold up to infamous in the technical department but the art direction and style is just awesome. |
I beg to differ
Lighting definitely is up to par just fine, because Infamous fails to do much with lighting. Global illumination casts shadows, sparkly effects look great - but there's really not that much going on otherwise. I found the night time the worst part in Infamous, the fact that none of the directional lights cast shadow is quite distracting to me, same as in Watch_Dogs. It is just so wrong to walk in front of a car's headlights and....nothing, like you're a bloody ghost
But where TLoU truly shines is in animations (because it's motion captured) and faces. Infamous has decent facial animations, but the eyes are horribly disconnected and make it look very awkward at times.
And then yeah, there's the obvious art direction and atmosphere
So no, I don't think TLoU falls behind at all. There are things that sure would've been better if ND had just gone straight for PS4. There are some mediocre textures here and there, some of the poly counts would've been higher, they probably would've used a different AA method (I'm still not sure what it is, because it exhibits artifacts from both PPAA methods and MSAA). All of these are things that require more optimisation.
Overall, definitely holds up though. The higher resolution, the frame rate, the removal of the vaseline and getting proper AA instead are all it needed. 10/10, will play through it again
Now show me what you can do when you develop straight for this console Naughty Dog, my creditcard is ready
Edit: Two videos from the prologue (so ye be warned if you haven't played yet):
