The difference is, during 2005-2008 period people could have easily say no and refuse to buy it.

It's just simply too late now to reverse that.
Sure sure Pffchh

No. It's that feeling of owning a Mercedes. The livestyle. The status. The experience.

Same goes for Early Access. You're not paying for the game. It's true value compared to other games.
You pay for the experience. Of having paid something. Something that you don't know what's it gonna be or even if it will be ever finished.

In a way, I actually agree with this. There are a few kickstarter games I dumped money into it, just mainly for the hell of it. Some surprised me in a big way, some fell short.

In the end, all that it matters is how much fun a person has with a game.

My specs:
Ryzen 5950x @ boosting 5ghz, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master, 128gb G.Skill Trident Neo pc3600 ram, nVidia RTX 5080, SoundBlasterX G6, Samsung 980 Pro m.2 1TB and Hynix m.2 1TB storage SSD. Custom watercooling loop.

Yeah, dat foregone destruction from UT3 Razz
And are you sure it's Deck 16? UT 2k4 had Deck 17, which had sort of a passage (unreachable without fly/ghost) leading to the "deck" right behind the wall (which seemed to be the ol' Deck 16 Very Happy). So maybe this time it'll be Deck 18? Wink
However, as far as I remember UT3 had a map called just "Deck", but... UT3 doesn't count Very Happy

Btw - me likey the artwork at 1:27.

That looks surprisingly decent.

I don't know what you lot are on about with the speed though, that's the exact same speed as the previous games had. It isn't quake, never was.

you're kinda right but it still looks not as fast as ut2004.
that might be because of no dodge and wall jumps in the video... hope they won't forget about this because this was one of the expects that made ut2004 so good. (atleast for me)

still not as fast like quake with this movement but faster then in the ut 2014 video.

man i miss those 1vs1 ut matches. wasn't that extremly skilled tho Very Happy

That's it.

The movement speed itself really isn't any slower than the old games. Any speed you got in those was from dodging, wall jumping and such.

I hope it's a great success and doesn't up having a tiny community like QL.

Releasing on Steam early and not 5 years later like QL should help a bit, I think.

Edit: Yep, it works. I played a bit of DM, it's nice.
