People try other people too much, thinking the Internet will save them and their identities, but they underestimate some mentally unstable, high IQ people out there that are willing to take revenge, somehow.
One day, people will pay.

Quote: | Warning signs started when update 9 here stated that they were putting ConEx on hold, and they were making another game Knuckle Club, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kilobite/knuckle-club , which they launched on Kickstarter with a goal of $25,000.
When people angry with the non-delivery of ConEx started spamming Knuckle Club's comments pages with scam alerts, they replied it was a "witch hunt".
Update 10 stated that Kilobyte, the game studio founded by him had been bought out, but corporate papers still showed his and his brother's names as CEO and directors. There were no other names to show the buy out.
People also noted the glaring similarities between their "proprietary" technology and another Kickstarter running at the time, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/finnmorgan/sprite-lamp-dynamic-lighting-for-2d-art .
Real people listed as working on ConEx with the brothers are not. One has stated he composed one music piece for the tech demo, has still not been paid for that, and has been repeatedly told the game was still coming, but has not been contacted for any more music. He's also been told he'll be paid, but that the brothers hadn't been paid either yet. ($7000 a week!?)
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2014/07/30/game-developers-maksym-denys-pashanin-squat-on-airbnb-rental-also-accused-of-duping-kickstarter-investors-alleged-scam-video-knuckle-club-confederate-express/
Then, the kicker and final straw for a lot of people. A woman who had rented her house out on AirBnB rented for 30 days to a couple of men. After 30 days, they refused to leave and also to pay because they claimed under California to be short term residents (you become one after 30 days), and also that her water supply had destroyed their $3800 espresso machine and given one of them an ulcer.
When she threatened to cut off power, they stated that they were conducting business to the tune of $7000 a week there and would thus lose their livelihood, also against California law. They were identified by photos and names as the Pashanin brothers. She will need to get legal action to evict them them which will take months, and which means she still has to pay the bills for the house while they stay there rent-free, (with water that gives them ulcers?!!)
People were not happy. Maksym then commented here, "Ok guys, what's the latest deets on the drama? 10/10, would squat again".
Now really not happy, even more people started asking for refunds under Kickstarter's rules of non-delivery of product, and Knuckle Club's campaign was also suspended for breaking the rules.
It was also found out that they had a history of nuisance law suits against landlords. They had to be evicted from another place in 2008/9 for squatting and they tried to sue another landlord for $10,000 for noise in 2012. The case was thrown out of court with prejudice, meaning it was such b*llsh!t the judge said they could never try to sue the landlord again with their "complaint". *cough - extortion - cough*
People have also found out that they've got a few Twitter, Steam, Amazon, etc. accounts and at least one other personal website under different names but all registered to Pashanin. Presumably, set ups for other scams. Stay away from Dennis, Denis, Denys LOGAN, and other derivations of Maxim, Maksym, Maksim etc.
Read through the comments here and on Knuckle Club. There are a lot of links with the news stories and what people have dug up. Keep an eye out for Ahmad Khan's posts, he's been *really* good at posting relevant stuff and keeping people updated. |
Holy shit, such deception, much conmen
Another Scamstarter success story. Success for the scammers I mean.

Quote: | Kilobite has sent you a message about Confederate Express
What a year!
A total solar eclipse, Donald Trump becomes president, and Confederate Express is coming back from the dead like a malignant brain tumor!
To kick off this exclusive bi-centennial update, here are some tasty news for you!
We finally have something to show you guys other than a bunch of gifs and one-liners. This time, it's an exciting opportunity to experience an early version of our highly-anticipated masterpiece, Confederate Express! Complete with a revamped custom high-performance framework False2D™, 42,000 hand-drawn animation frames, and an ocean's worth of pixelated blood.
Proceed with caution, as flying chunks of zombie flesh might petrify even the strongest minds!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Development:
Confederate Express is approaching the end of its production cycle, and we are trying to polish the general core gameplay elements. To minimize redundant feedback, this early version contents have been limited to:
macOS build only
1 playable character (Jackson)
4 powerful abilities
2 enemy types (Zombie + Stalker)
3 playable levels
core mechanics: gold collection, experience accrual, interactive environment
As development continues, the game's content will expand gradually (including a Windows PC build), up until we put together a final version of the game. You can follow progress on our DevLog: https://kilobite.itch.io/conex/devlog
All proceeds collected will go directly towards development of Confederate Express, including contractor fees for our sound designer, AJ Lornie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rewards:
Every backer with a pledge of $25 $10 and higher will receive a key to Confederate Express early version available for download at kilobite.itch.io/conex. In addition, a Steam key will be provided to unlock a full version scheduled for release this January. Target platforms are macOS and Windows PC.
Our goal is to accumulate as much feedback as possible; so please do not hesitate and contact us via info@kilobite.com (no leasing agreements please)
Also, please join us at private developer's forum, exclusively at kilobite.itch.io/conex/community
And as always, thank you for your long-lasting support!! Appreciate ya!

This aliasing"™" technique they are displaying is NOT pixelart they say...
Yet the "generated" image features more details than the import picture, QUITE INTERESTING!
And what the magical fuck does theta do with the simple color that was retrieved from the pixel array that represents the image and that could possible trace and understand hairs and properly recreate them And I want to see the mathematical function that knows how to interpret that cloudy background and create an appropriate cloud rendering
And the black artefacts around each "active" object looks like garbage.
