Acclaimed French filmmaker Abdellatif Kechiche’s latest, based on Julie Maroh’s graphic novel, was the sensation of this year’s Cannes Film Festival even before it was awarded the Palme d’Or. Adèle Exarchopoulos is a young woman whose longings and ecstasies and losses are charted across a span of several years. Léa Seydoux is the older woman who excites her desire and becomes the love of her life. Kechiche’s movie is, like the films of John Cassavetes, an epic of emotional transformation that pulses with gestures, embraces, furtive exchanges, and arias of joy and devastation. It is a profoundly moving hymn to both love and life

it portrays typical stages of some relationships in a realistic way. From excitement, passion to complacency etc.. I won't spoil it
Watched this last year at a film festival. Loved it. Yes the acting is superb waldo!
thanks.
i have a problem with plenty of recent golden palm nominees/winners.
maybe this won't be a shit film filled with shit acting trying to convey emotion with a very simple plot and added 'special' scenes to diversify itself from the shit pile of exactly the same 'coming of age/understanding/love/connection' movies.
i saw plenty of peoples here who gave it a gewd ratings. once i saw i was like hmmm so i hope it's good. and not good because it's a foreign movie about love.. mulholland drive was about love and it was good. and had hot lesbians too
