I am having trouble controlling my cpu fan (it is an intel fan that came with the cpu prescot based 3.0GHz), no i do not have money to buy a different fan.
I have tried using speedfan, does anyone have a suggestion

I have tried speedfan and it didn't work for me either. That's what I get for buying a cheapo board. You should try going the hardware way with a controller.

You still have to keep an eye on cpu temps to determine the lowest fan speed at which the computer still works. Not an ideal solution I must admit.

You can make you own controler - just for one dollar or euro - if you can work manualy.

you must have soldering gun , buy tin (jist a little bit) and potentiometer and just use yuor combinatory skill.

If you take my meaning

i got This one.. Really good, and fits perfect in cooler master cases, for other cases though, it MAY be a bit hard to mount, but it works eventually!
