I've been playing the Alpha for a couple of days here and there. Not very far but I like what I see so far. Can anyone suggest a particular website or wiki for newbs? Kind of a starting guide for the first 20 or so levels? Thanks.

Anyone tried this yet?

The alpha is available for measly 139€

Btw. is the embedded video from Sausje working? For some reason I'm unable to view any embedded video links now. (Using opera)

So cheap? wow...

The embedded vid works.

Aye. Hoping were gonna get a mail today with instructions/links. Would hate to spend half the event downloading the client if their servers are hammered.

Mate of mine linked me this, its old but damn... this game is so epic

please why this face

-----------

watched that gameplay video and while the graphics look pretty bad (like some asian MMORPG), the features sound pretty nice. Like classic Ultima Online in 3D Very Happy
But i couldn't see how the combat works. Do the skills only hit the current target, or can you hit multiple targets if you position yourself right?

Or is Trion just the publisher? very bad man

Trion is the publisher but they are also appointed to 'westernize' it somewhat. The dev's do recognize you can't just drop an Asian MMO on a western crowd... how far that will go... we'll have to see in the next years.

(game is already out for a year or is it two already? over there. I never bothered with getting into Korean beta, but followed it for a while.)

You are lucky, i can't even start downloading (problem with authenticating with the download server).

EDIT.: You need to select zone/country in the top right corner. Very Happy

EDIT2.: downloading at 4MB/s now.

Expected a lot worse with 1 day before the event

Stupid glyph logging me out when I started to download since I didn't chose a region at first

After reading up a bit, it's very apparent the new patch turned the game in a pay to win fest, as opposed to the acceptable free to play it was before. Introducing labor potions and whatnot that allow you to progress through the game. While I cannot speak from experience, some dude that paid for the 140 euros pack was pretty pissed on the MMORPG subreddit.

Well, the labor points were there before also as far as I understood.
In Korean and Russian version they're even more restrictive (1 LP / 5 minutes of play for F2P accounts)

Currently Patrons get 10 LP / 5 minutes? (can't remember right now) and 5 LP / 5 minutes when they're offline.

Crafting weapons and such costs even up to 100.

22GB download, then it unpacks to 45GB. After installation it deletes temp. files, so its back to 22GB, installed.

Meh, what a fail start.

When you start the game nothing happens for about 10 seconds, not even something in the taskbar.
Then when the intro plays game always crashes to desktop, gg.

edit: Seems the crash is related because servers are not up yet, lolwut Laughing
How about some notice then in the launcer/news. Man, i expected Trion to handle this better

Yeah first boot is extremely slow due to the anti-cheat system and it crashes indeed because of servers being down, it can't bring up the authentication system Smile
