What I don't like about the new maps so far is that they seem to be a mashups of old maps. They don't just repeat props and buildings, but exact section layouts from old maps. I was getting deja vu of dawnbreaker, shanghai, and roof tops from floodzone. But at least it's infantry focused which I prefer.

But even 32 players feels too much on those maps. I often got raped and teabagged from behind by some squads

No you can capture everything. But get reduced points if points are not linked to one ore more others

Not liking it so far. Way too many hidey holes. Especially on the rainy map. Everything is brown on the right side so it's very hard to spot enemies. The only one I like so far is the propaganda map. Map is interesting to look at and offers both close and distance encounters. It has many paths, but no elevations so you can flank but not get shot from every window 2 stories up. Pearl market is just a huge cluster fuck, honestly don't understand what they were thinking. Plus I noticed that on all maps you can be spawn trapped and you spawn right in the open.

Edit: also performance sucks on all maps except propaganda. On propaganda,with everything on high I get 70 fps locked just like on previous expansions. But on the other 3 maps fps is much lower and fluctuates a lot. Is anyone else getting pretty drastic fps drops on these maps?

So I played a bit of the new maps and the maps are alright, they're not great but they're alright.
Propaganda (NK one) stands out though. Chainlink is a total waste unless you're playing with people who play the objective and actually try to win the game instead of racking up a nice kill ratio. And this is pretty much the weakest point in any BF game, the players who play the different game modes all as if it were TDM.
Anywho, back to the maps.
The pearl map (with the sunken restaurant) is quite dark and mix in the clusterfuck UI (hasn't been fixed since it's still only a CTE thing) you've got a bunch of hilarious moments when you run into an enemy and don't see them.
And the other two maps are sub par, one is a clusterfuck of people running from everywhere and you're unable to check all corner and the other is...not memorable.
The "netcode" is hit and miss (still) especially when a couple of "high" pingers join (150+) and then most people seem to eat bullets as if they were cheerios.
The riot-shield is a campers wet dream (or so they think) since I've spotted some already who just sit in a corner with it up and when they can they switch weapons and start shooting at you.
The Deagle is probably going to get nerfed since it's quite powerful right now and there's really no need to pick any other secondary firearm than it.

All in all, they still have a bit to go (hoping the CTE will fix most of the annoyances I still have with the game) when it comes to actually making the game not as frustrating where I end up fighting the game-mechanics instead of other players.

been a while since I've played, dragons teeth was the final DLC right?

Was there any more levolution maps after the original batch with release, I don't remember China Rising having any levolution and that was really the last time I've played.

Wavebreaker has a small levolution event where you crash a submarine, in Dragon's teeth lumphini garden there is a land slide levolution.

Wow, game's 47.4GB, when final DLC is released it'll be about 55GB. Still, considering the amount of maps that are in the game (and singleplayer campaign), it's justifiable amount, unlike Titanfall waste of space

You dont have to download every DLC though, only if you want to play on the maps. I just downloaded Dragons Teeth now since all the other dlcs became boring Razz.

Won a game yesterday with HUGE score difference. 32 vs 32 and I swear that atleast 31 of the other team camped one of the flags from start to end. There was loads of chances to spread out and atleast TRY to take other flags but instead they had like 10-20 spawnpoints set out around just one spot. Pathetic.

If you have just one link and all other links (both yours and the enemy's) keep getting broken, yeah, you'll win.

A-B C D E F

That'll let the team controlling A-B win. You could also control A-B and E-F for example, the chain doesn't have to be continuous. Personally I think it should be though, because we won a match with ease by doing this (think it was on Propaganda):

A-B-C D E-F-G

Most of the enemy team didn't even notice most of the match.
