Ok, I know MDG for the most part is shit. But I'm a student on a budget looking to replace a TV and a computer monitor. I want to do something kinda crazy...

I want that as my computer monitor and TV.

If you ask me, it looks good if you can afford something like it.. I have a 50" Plasma screen downstairs (all brands removed as i got it through work), and it works like a beauty. Smile

But for a student on budget, please be aware that those "dont-pay-for-12-months" deals can be a neat pain in the as..

But hey, if you feel you want it and can handle the pricing, go for it mate!

1800 / 50 = 36. ur gonna be paying it for 3 years Razz. 4 if u take the 1 year no interest thingy. By that time you're gonna be looking at newer models and looking on in envy Smile. Thats why I don't buy things on credit like that. Still sounds alright though.

This is about $70 a month, which I can also afford.

Could you possibly elaborate on the main differences between LCD and plasma. I've read up on it quite a bit, but I can't find much about using them as a computer monitor AND television.

Oh, or I could go with the 32" LCD

http://mdg.ca/en/products/tv_lcd32.asp

If you know other places with this kind of financing in Canada, let me know. It's the only way I'm going to be able to afford new stuff.

Oh and Sublime, in 3 or 4 years time, I figure exactly that, I'll be looking at new models.. and this one will have started to fade. I'll have gotten my bang for my buck. It's exactly WHY i'd want to pay for it over time. I know it seems sorta like a money making gimmick, but both my monitor and television are ready to go, and I need an upgrade. I'm always looking for the best way to see my TV and gaming Smile
