Does anyone know how to make them brighter? My gamma is 1.8 but screenies come out more like r_gamma 1.
Also, if anyone is interested in an equivalent picmip 5 setting,
( as there is no picmip in Q4), make an autoexec.cfg, and then add these lines.
If you don't like it, simply get rid of the autoexec
and it should return to your previous config.
I think it's giving me a few more fps.

omg those shots are ugly! but yea ive noticed screenshots look a lot worse once put into paint and are also a bit darker too. I'm not sure what will fix this, maybe fraps idk  . You could always take the screenshots in windowed mode and press alt+print screen.

I could try that, thanks. Heh, I use picmip 5 in Q3. I don't care because it gives me an edge, blurring the scenery but not the enemy. Helps here too but not much until I get a bright green enemy.
