lol, like to see you Pc create PG3 type graphics with no slowdown or DOA4. Did you not hear that COD2 runs with NO slowdown at all, seen loads of people already complaining about how the PCDemo don't run that great with uber machines.

and even then you need £1000 Pc compared to a £279 console, and again i wouldn't really call these two game AAA titles, 1 is a Pc game so probably been optimised form pc code and the other has already been scrapped form PS3 devolopment.

Well the pc can actually create just as good graphics, and even better in many cases (so far), the newest tech demo for the cryengine proves that.
But CRA$HH110011001, you have to remember, this is the first games to come for the new console, the games will look much better in a year or so. I mean just look at gears of war and you will see what the machine is truly capable of. 
But regardless of what, I doubt any console will blow us away this time around, because the differences aren't THAT big, not as big as the change from snes to n64 and psx.
Edit: I just watched the video, and COD2 does indeed not look like a next generation title, and for sure something a decent pc shuld be able to handle.

I can give you many reasons... but here is one.. it's micro$ofts... that is enough proof to stay away as far as possible from that thing

why do ppl have a problem with microsoft?? as a company they rock do u know where we would be without them?? they make awesome games and awesome hardware, the fact they make shit loads of money and loads of ppl seem to have problem with that , do u hate banks as well becasue they make millions every day too.
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

Not because they have a lot of money, but because they are money hungry mothafuckers who find the most shitty ways to rip people off. Like cutting the HD out of the core x360 bundle and charging $100 extra for it...a 20gb HD! I've bought 80gb HD's for half that price, literally. Or charging however much for xbox live and even MORE for "extra" bullshit content. Sony is not even that bad, you can use almost ANY hard drive with ps2 AND playing ps2 games online is completely free. Downloading new content in ps2 games is also FREE. And $400 for the premium x360 bundle and it doesn't even come with a game! And even with that said I will still be one of the suckers who buys the x360 at launch only because I want it so bad.

Well, thing is, Xbox is a good, powerful console when its released. The price is indeed really low, you'll never be a ble to have a PC with that power for that Price. Reasons are pure economical.
First of all, Microsoft always said they sell the console for to deep prices. They make a loss of several hundred dollars with every console selled (If I remember right, it were about 500 dollars per console). The consoles are simply sold under their true price.
second, Xbox is a mass product. Its whole conception allows a mass production of one unique type of hardware, and whoever learned a bit about economy knows that the more amounts of items you can produce, the cheaper it can be constructed and therefor sold. That adds some hundred dollars more to the actual price of an Xbox. Brutto you'll get a piece of hardware worth of maybe more than a 1000 dollars (and a lot more when considering the mass prioduction of the hardware pieces inside the xbox). Yeah, same goes for all PC components, but not in the extent as microsoft does it. PC components are too specialized as to be able to be produced as real mass products, just think of the wide range of one type of graphics card. No wonder you'll pay more for a PC...
BTw, same goes for the PS3. Its higher in price than the xbox360, which shows that it has more powerful and therefor more expensive components.
And me, project gotham 3 isn't that impressive. It looks fantastic, but only because they did a great artisitc job on textures and models. Apart from that, theres nothing special in its technology. I'd like to see the same graphics with an amount of city life simulation like in gta, real pedestrians etc. The graphics look more like a logical evolution from GT4 graphics than like a true revolution...

i thought the blueray drive was the reason the ps3 is so much more expensive, theyre probably pretty similar otherwise imho.

yes, it's the blueray that makes it expensive. The statement "it's more expensive, therefor better" is absolutely senseless.
