Crescent Moon Games have launched their Kickstarter for The Deer God, a procedurally generated 3D Pixel-art (what? how?) deer platformer, and as strange as that sounds, it looks absolutely stunning. You are a deer hunter that becomes re-incarnated as a deer after a hunting accident and then pitched in a battle for survival against the forest elements.
He is right, kinda. There's just too many pixel/8-16bit old looking games, and most of them strive to be that "artistic" exploration based platformers/rougelikes, also most of them arent any good really. This "new" pixel trend is getting "old" (lol) pretty quick.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with pixel games, there are plenty of dudebro polygons for you to fap over, you don't have to play/buy this so what does it matter if this exists alongside Call of Duty? Personally I think this looks good and has the potential to be really enjoyable

Indie also means creating something with the very limited funds you have. And there you'll see that the delivery and other aspects are more important than just graphics. Sometimes the minimalistic approach can be even a bliss.

C`mon, super meat boy was made by 2 people and it wasnt pixel art. Recent bulb boy also is made by 3-4 people and it doesnt use pixel art + there are tons of 3d indie games. Also fluid animations like ones you posted require tons of work. Again, no offence, dont be so narrow minded with black/white approach - there is tons of shades of grey in between (read - different artstyles). But I guess for sabin there is pxielart, dudebrocowadooty and faping over.
Again - I just wrote that I can understand easily that people are tired with pixelart trend, how this turned out to be about call of duty and faping is beyond me. good work guys.

Haven't seen anything from this game, reminds me of Swords and Sworcery (Was that the proper name?) in style but it might be entirely different in how it plays, looks fun though so I'll have to give it a try eventually.
