i might have looked forward to this, but then i kinda did about the last evil plague series helix and that turned out to be such a turd its put me right off this one.
i can already see it now... the drama... there will most definately be an unresolved romance issue - a divorced but apologetic ex husband and an ex-wife that still loves him, if only he wasnt so 'caught up in his work'... there will be a traitor onboard, most likely working for the russians - HE was involved in the initial outbreak and now must either cover his tracks or maybe hes part of some nihilistic cult that keeps trying to sabotage research efforts... someone, at some point, will 'drop a vial' and infect a good number of the crew...
you know what, lets keep it going... what othere cliched overly dramatic bullshit plot device is guaranteed to happen in this? Lets open it up to the floor.

at some point they'll have to make some kind of supply run to shore, and then get caught up in some tense action sequence where someone will sacrifice themselves for the others to escape back to the ship (possible season cliffhanger?)
pirates. pirates will invade, and even though its a fucking naval destroyer full of trained navy men, this ragtag group of pirates will manage to get on board and sieze control, meaning the navy dudes have to resort to guerilla strategies to fight back...
also the engine will break at some point.

there will also be alot of bullshit personal drama, many characters will fuck, some will rediscover themselves some will just whine constantly.

Come on, it's not often we get a post-apocalyptic tv show with modern naval warfare without supernatural bullshit.
It's got a few terrible cringe beats in the first episode but there's also tons of potential here.
I'll conserve my urine for peeing on it when it does fail, like helix did, but lets see first.

 Considering that my Helix experience lasted three episodes, I imagine that I won't even get past the intro with this one |
