It works,but you need to press ALT-ENTER when the authorising window comes up.Then when server starts loading press ALT-ENTER again to regain full screen.Works on ALL servers.

i cant even get a server list using vaseline, joining by ip doenst work as it stays on auth and the above solutions didnt work.
do you lot get a server list at least?

Yes.Given new .exe permission in your firewall?

Does the Vaseline patch work with the CD version that Deviance released? I copied over the patch, disabled my firewall, scanned servers properly, but it hangs on authorizing.. tried pressing Alt-Enter, but it just runs Q4 windowed. Anyone? THanks!

yep same for me, its just waiting for authorisation, and i waited about 5 minutes, but it keeps hanging on the authorisation screen, no server loading
i pressed ALT-ENTER and got also windowed mode of quake4

i use a router, and im confident it isnt that judging by how many people i hear having hte same problems.
i was wondering has anybodytried to join by i.p with 2 cracked copies running the vas patch?

Multiplayer in Quake4 sucks anyway, why bother? It's the same old shit as Quake3.

@ People with the Verification Problem
Add 127.0.0.1 idnet.ua-corp.com to your Hostfile.
This worked for me.
