Right,
So ive got loads of c64/amigas/consoles laying about and id love to connect them to my new hardware.

The problem is, most screens ive got are new as hell and doesnt support the classic ol antenna.

Anyone know where I can find hardware that let me connect them to hdmi/display ports?

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Any solution to get classic 8/16/32-bit computers running on HDMI/Display port is expensive as hell (you need an S-Video/SCART to HDMI-converter which is 700-800 SEK) unless you have VGA or DVI in your machine in which case you can get a VGA->HDMI or DVI->HDMI adapter but then you have to get hardware for your old C64 or Amiga 500/500+/600/1200 to get a hardware scandoubler/flickerfixer with VGA/DVI output.

I've got SCART-cables to my C64's and C128 (RGBi for the 128 for 80-column mode), I've got the Indivision AGA MK2cr on my Amiga1200 which gives me a DVI output for any monitor with a DVI-cable (comes with a config utility to get any resolution working, I used 1024*768/16 colours with OS3.9 on my 1280*1024 19" TFT monitor).

The Amiga 3000 has a VGA-out that can simply be plugged with a cheap VGA->DVI adapter.

I got my ZX Spectrum 48k+ modded to Composite instead of RF-modulation.

The step to HDMI/Display-port, that's the difficult (expensive) part, unfortunately.

As for external keyboards, that's much easier.

Here's one solution: http://www.ide64.org/devices.html#PCKEYB allowing you to use a PS2 keyboard (or via USB->PS2 adapter) on your C64.

Here's one solution for the A1200: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=49_89&products_id=207

If you want to use a REAL (optical mouse with wheel) mouse with your Amiga you can get a Micromys v4 adapter, install the Micromys drivers and if you need the wheel put the FreeWheel commodity in WBStartup.

I wish I could afford this one: http://www.ggsdata.se/Datorer/chameleon.php

Basically makes the C64 a 21st century computer and does everything you want and more. It'll give you VGA out which you can convert to DVI. Connect RR-Net and you can surf the internet at 10Mbit. Wink

Just check out www.ggsdata.se, he's got most or all the stuff you're looking for.

There's this though: http://www.clasohlson.com/se/VGA-till-HDMI-adapter/38-4705

Cheap VGA to HDMI adapter (with sound as well) for 299 SEK. But you need to have VGA. They also have DVI->HDMI and vice versa. Unfortunately that's no help for the C64 or an Amiga without a scandoubler like Indivision AGA (or ECS for A500/500+/600).

A TV tuner + input switch might be a much cheaper solution? Just means you'll have to route it through a PC, but that can be something old.

Been there, done that. I have a Winfast TV2000 XP Expert PCI-card and the quality is just horrible.

Avoiding using the RF-modulator on these old computers is a must. It's easy to simply do S-Video/Composite mods on old 8-bit computers since the signal going to the built-in RF-modulator is S-Video or Composite already, just bypass the RF-modulator.

The Ultimate III has a lot more features...

But the latest SD2IEC with moulded mini-1541 case looks a lot cooler:
