Almost 8000 miles on his GT40, that's like 2666 laps, developer loves his car.
Qualification (and practise) are on the endurance races, propably not on anything else. Didn't look at that video though, don't want to spoil it. But usually when you skip qualify you end up last on grid.

Indeed, the cars are drifting in almost every corner.
Tire smoke on the player's car and the AI's, great tire wear
Same for tyre wear, only on endurance races, rest you can drift/smoke the tires away as much as you like
Your point being? Because Driveclub looks just as drifty in the videos, with an added bonus of cars that seem to be disconnected from the road and just...float.
Both games need one heck of a career mode to keep my attention if they play how it looks in the videos.

Or he just bought it 2nd hand
Doh! Forgot all about that as they've only shown brand new cars in previous videos. I have a feeling I shall buy used ones to drive/mess around and if I really like it I will buy a new one and never drive it
Well I'd need to buy 2 new ones, as you could only upgrade new ones, so would have to drive one and look at one. Well that is if there is a functioning garage in the game.
3 weeks to go and still no pre-order in GMG or similar :/
I never noticed any difference between the brand new and the used cars in GRID 1, besides the higher mileage.
Well here there should be noticeable difference (which can of course made up by driving better). And said better on purpose, as driving fast might work one race, if your car looks like a raisin after it

Careless drivers will find that their car doesn’t quite perform as well as it did in previous races if they keep smashing it up. Small fractions of damage will get carried over as Wear & Tear, which you’ll need to repair in order to keep your cars performing at peak condition. Higher mileage cars will accumulate Wear & Tear faster than factory-fresh ones, so players will need to make tactful decisions when it’s time to replace a car that is becoming too expensive to maintain.
When buying a vehicle, you can choose to buy new or used. A used car may be cheaper, but it will already have some miles on the clock, and the previous owner might not have taken good care of it. That being said, you may find that saving up for a brand new car takes too long, and buying a used car gets you quicker access to the Vehicle XP bonuses, upgrades and tuning.
Whoops, seems I remembered wrong, you can tune new and old, just not loaned ones. So one to race and one to look at will work fine

“So why would I ever want to buy a car?” I hear you ask; well, remember that only vehicles that you’ve bought can level-up and unlock Tuning Packs, Upgrades, repairs, cosmetic customisations and bonus rewards. You’ll be able to compete with a loaned car, but if you really want to stand out and have an edge over your opponents, you’ll need to buy one of your own.
Game development often hits unexpected problems despite immovable deadlines. For GRID Autosport we reached a significant technical stumbling block with the leaderboards in Time Trial, and had to pull it from the launch version of the game. Don’t worry though (pitchforks back in the shed please!) we’ll be re-instating it as soon as we are able after launch via a free update.

If you play on PC you’ll have access to the first piece of additional content the moment GRID Autosport launches; an HD texture pack that will increase the visual fidelity of the liveries and car exteriors. We wanted to make the pack optional as the 4K textures included will be a small hit on your performance, so instead of bumping up the minimum specs for everyone we thought we’d leave the decision in your own hands.

Alongside this, we will be supporting GRID Autosport with various bits of downloadable content. DLC will be broken down into two main categories.
- Car Packs
Car packs are exactly how you’d imagine, they include new cars for the game and we’ve currently got three of these planned.
- Mini – Expansions
There will be three mini-expansions for GRID Autosport and each will have a specific ‘theme’ surrounding it. The mini-expansions will each include a selection of new locations, some will include new cars and in some cases new game modes entirely.
Effing epic guy Talking the whole time, half the time doesn't even look at the game and still drives like a champ When I opened the video I thought he was just commenting on pre-recorded stuff, but nope.
edit: yes
Even looking to upgrade my (very) old wheel, with fresher logitech (uses same plastic bolts, so I'd have spares) for this game. Downside is sliding out keyboard tray is not very secure place for it, so 2nd hand one for cheap.

preload live 7.6 gb
You've played it through, before I'll get my key even Really hope the GMG 30th isn't true and key will become earlier, or it will be a painful wait as others are already playing.
tso the only to get the steam get directly and start preload is to buy from steam?
If you want it on release day then yes. My GMG key is for EU and says 30th, even though all release date videos say 24-27th. So depending on what region key would be it's some of that time.
But if you already live in a coutry that gets the release later, buying it from steam won't help a bit compared to a key (unless you go and VPN activate it early).
No championships=No purchase for me. I want serious motivation in racing videogames and running from random grid places to just achieve 1st place in a single race is boring imo.

Wait, no career mode? Or is it just no championship? If it's the latter then I'm okay, but the former? GTFO
