I think it'll be a pretty hard fight on the retail version of the game. The griffin MUST take a lot of healt on hit, that's how I see it though. And it seems that this griffin fight is tied to the main story, like the kraken. You now it has to be epic in terms of presentation. That's how it is nowadays.

Other than that, GOD I'M FUCKING IMPRESSED! Combat is not much different from Witcher 2(I was worried it could be something like Batman, but it's not), animations are much much better and gore is pretty amazing(despite being overly abused).

BRING IT!

If it looks this good on a console, then it should be stunning on a high end PC.

They're trying to show the game, it wouldn't be very useful if teh one playing died every minute. Probbaly easy mode.

I think the gameworld is beautifully designed and the production values are obviously of top quality. I'll pre-order this on GoG.

but australia (and likely eventually nz, lets be fair) price gouging on THIS game, really pisses me off. in the past, cdpr has said they've been at the mercy of their publisher, but... it looks like they're self publishing this on steam, right? so this is a CDPR decision, yes? and that just flies in the face of all that bullshit theyve said in the past about being fair and equitable as much as they possibly could...

It depends what the local stores want. Digital prices tend to be linked to retail stores who have threatened to pull the game if they placed the digital price lower than the retail price. Maybe once retail sales become insignificant, we will see a better price point for some games.

I like the gore. And I wonder how much of that griffin fight was staged for E3, because most players would've been using the silver sword in the first place.

T'was. You could see the physX hair on the pre-e3 trailer looking amazing. And from what they've shown it will be used on all the beasts that have hair.

Plus this feature was presented ages ago as a main graphical advantage of the game (when they showed those wolves etc).

Perhaps they didn't have an internet connection on stage, so they couldn't use the Power of the Cloud™ to enable that feature.

witcher 2 combat was awesome, while w1 one was some of the worst combat i ever saw in an rpg. its like they couldnt decide whether to make an action rpg or. not, so thhey created this weird middle ground that was horribly repetitive. i played w1 purely for the story, despite the combat, while while i enjoyer all aspects of. w2.

actually it is very console friendly. The real deal with the combat was just that you had to time your attacks. This system could easily have been remade to work on consoles without depending on a mouse.
