Oh god. So much nostalgia in one post. I have a very clear memory of my girlfriend buying me Legend of Kyrandia for 55 bux at the local Best Buy. It's also the game that thought me what the "doily" means. The visuals, and few FMV sequences were mind blowing for those times.
I never spent to much time with I have No Mouth And I Must Scream, but I'll never forgot how excited was my now deceased friend to get a copy and play the shit out if it.
Thanks for reigniting the memories of better times.

Westwood knew now to make good games IMO |
You must have a smart cousin, because I remember this game kicking my ass. Most of the "puzzles" just didn't have any logic in them, like many adventure games back in the day. I should give this a playthrought again though, seems like a nice memory trip.
EDIT: I was thinking/talking about The Legend of Kyrandia 3: Malcolm's Revenge. But I have played the first one also. Good times.

Own the original box for this, Legend of Fate, and Malcoms Revenge. However first few bux I get, I'm getting a copy, and crossing my fingers they release the sequels.

Kind of forgot about them. Stopped going there since they're no longer worrying about just classics and are bringing in all these indie games. I love indie devs and all but it's taking away from the classic scene

What? Please explain. I don't see how having more games takes anything away from the classics. They are still there and they are still releasing classic games. What?
That said I'm having a hard time forgiving them for the buggy lords of magic release |
There's a vast sea of classics they could be working on getting to keep that good old games theme they had going on. It seems like we're getting less classics that really matter now days and are instead getting a flood of indie games.
Like I said though, I really don't mind, GOG can do more for Indie gaming than steam can.

If you've been a member of the site for a long time, you may recall that when we launched sales of The Witcher 2 on GOG.com, we had to add in regional pricing. The game cost different amounts in in the US, the UK, the European Union, and Australia. We're doing something like that once again in order to bring you new titles from fantastic bigger studios. Since we don't accept currencies other than USD on GOG.com right now, we'll be charging the equivalent of the local price in USD for these titles. |

At least they're acknowledging their mistakes, unlike other sites, like GreenManGaming.

Quote: | GOG has reversed its decision to include regional pricing on some upcoming games, calling it a “mistake” after nearly 10,000 (mostly negative) comments poured into their forums. In a thorough apology, GOG co-founders Marcin Iwinski and Guillaume Rambourg write that they should never have made that call. |
"Getting back to our roots (cough.. but only because thousands of people reamed our asses on forums and social media sites... cough)" |
They probably needed that feedback to negotiate with publishers that wanted regional pricing.

Not too thrilled by their "solution". As it is now you still have to pay regional pricing and you only get coupons which you'll probably use on games you most likely wouldn't have bought anyway (otherwise you'd have bought them already) and which are therefore not a lost sale for GOG.
It will get a bit better when they implement store credit instead of coupons.

Bout time they just unite all under one client (and one purchase for all!)
fed up with having: Steam,Desura,Uplay,Origin on my system (used to be more, due to MMO) and it's mostly everything after the first two that pisses me off due to their limited catalog and usage
