a proper open world on this kind of game needs proper funding and a good team. outlast is an indie game too and look how good it was. also the game was anounced 1 year ago and 1 year later today we get an alpha build so it will take another year for a final build.

This could work for marketing: "Are you man enough to try AMD?"

To be fair, the alleged risk is in running the game on untested hardware. I guess they didn't have PCs with AMD GPUs in them, so they can't guarantee it will work without issues. Hence you risk in paying for the game that might not work on your hardware.

Though it will still need textures, 3d models, sound and music to name a few things so the low disc space is probably more because it's a early-access build and not finished.

We'll see when it's out how the game, or rather when it's uploaded outside of Steam and someone can test it further. Razz
(The Steam forums aren't that good although you can learn a few things on occasion. )

Really excited for this one, can't pinpoint why. Has there ever been a true open world horror survival game yet?

Yep, the "Early Access" tag is an automatic "Nope" for me, no matter how good or promising the game looks. When it's done I'll buy it, in the meantime, a shitload of other stuff to play Razz

You need to calm down man.

You reminded me of that old cartoon on MTV (based on a comic) called "Migraine Boy". Used to enjoy it back in the day

What is this 1999? Why would you need keyboard and mouse options? Seriously, these are leftovers of ancient GldSource engine, we are in damn 2014 now.

You know, the company not run by jews and the one that limits its competition by closing its proprietary trash like GameWorks (more like failworks) and deliberately reducing performance in their code much like IntelAviv.

As opposed to AMD, the company that leaves all it's features open source such as Mantle and TressFX that still work on novidya and offer better and cheaper video vards for compute workloads.

But by all means, keep supporting the people that caused the recession and overprice their hardware, which will ultimately end up cornering the market and creating a monopoly that can raise their prices on video cards because there is no other alternative.

i guess ALPHA is really a hard concept to grasp for some lol.

ADVICE (to anyone) : Stop wanting to "play" games before their release. Not like most of them are buggy enough at release itself, but to play an alpha and then bitch around how it's buggy or bad optimized ... i mean come on lol

(to whom it may concerns)
