The stuttering happens regardless of settings, just that it impacts min/max FPS.
So I set everything to medium, no AA and fullscreen. This makes my GPU's run at around 60% and my CPU has one of it's cores maxed while the rest are somewhere at 35-45%.
I guess I won't be playing this game for some time until they fix the performance issues.

I bet they won't fix anything because they're incapable to optimize the game. I have excessive stuttering even on 720p medium textures and everything else on low. It's not AMD's or Nvidia's fault that Ubiderps can't provide a decent product.

It helped but didn't completely solve the problem for me.

grinhurt well for me , i play this on 900p with all set to high/ultra with no AA just to get 60fps... the lulz thing is i am on a i7 with a titan and 16 gigs ...

dbtor wrote:
Re-installed the game using the RELOADED release + the hotfix. Still stutters like crazy.

GPU usage is at 98 or 99% most of the time. It jumps down to 10% or so when it stutters.

According to http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/watch-dogs-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide#watch-dogs-optimal-playable-settings I should be able to run the game on high/ultra settings.
according to Nvidia I should be able to play this with easy 90fps on Ultra... grinhurt but i actually only get 43 fps Laughing to even have a STABLE 60 fps you have to turn off AA [no loss here every one was a different kind of blur] and set the textures on high .. other settings can be set to the highest possible

those scales are a load of BS

speaking about this game... its a Techno thriller based on single player missions, thats build like a sand box ... but its isn't one , then Gta [a game that every one compares it to]
that was a Sand Box game with missions build around the already build town

if i compare it to a sand box , this game is crap
if i compare it to a mission based shooter , like Max Pain ... then this game is great

its like people played LA NOIR like a sand Box game but it wasn't a one , more a consolidated Adventure game based on human lie
so yeah you can only compare this game to LA NOIR ... but this time the selling gimmick is a phone that can hack anything ... even CARS THAT AREN'T ELECTROMECHANICAL ADVANCED Laughing

oh and if you ask me about the tech smarts this game is using... turn off your brain , its CSI technology with 24`s Jack Bauer derp ... "Ip is coming from this room" then location and so on ... so many stupid things ... if you work with technology 24/7 those things will you irk you ... steam pipes can be hacked ... grinhurt

You edit the game shortcut:

Found this on Guru3D. Make a shortcut to the game and add "-disablepagefilecheck" without the quotation marks after the target and the stuttering should be extremely minimal (essentially just when driving very fast and loading new environments).
Not sure how it works - it just does, at least for me.
Example (under target): "X:\Games\WD\watch_dogs.exe" -disablepagefilecheck

So finally tried it, runs alright with some stuttering here and there, need to install the latest drivers and test again.
But, there is something strange about the controls, like input lag or something. Notice it when driving vehicles

Yep, the controls feel like shit on first try. But after a while, I'm already driving like a baws Laughing or so do I think. Anyway, don't forget to tweak these 3 values in your GamerProfile.xml file, located in My Documents\My Games\Watch_Dogs:

Sensitivity --> set to 1
UseMouseSmooth --> set to 0
Smoothness --> set to 0

I don't understand how this can be accurate. I have 3GB 780's in SLI and with everything set to ultra including TXAA x4 @ 1080p resolution.... I hover between 2900-3040 VRAM Usage.

Unless the game somehow knows to use only 3GB since that's all I have, and for you more than that since you have 4GB available?

For those of us with the steam version, can we just add the command through steam (launch options), rather than the actual .exe?

Finally, how much does 3GB actually represent is it 3072MB?

So the ctOS security staff are of course made to look like bad guys so you get descriptions on their profiles such as Black Belt Martial Artist (Whom can't even defend himself from a frontal takedown.), Ex-Navy Seal, Weapons Instructor and a few gun related crimes.

And then this guy somehow got hired.

(And his friend - not pictured - whom was "Suspected of human trafficking" heh Ubisoft going all out trying to make them appear bad as if it wasn't obvious already.)

(It is a game of course so I'm not taking it too seriously, come to think of it there's like only one child in the entire game so far and there's no pets or even animals whatsoever.)

Well they do try to make it believable - I was walking around a prostitute tried to seduce a passer by, so I profiled her and she is indeed labeled as "Escort" and "Finishing something University" Laughing

Yeah they tend to group different types with certain behaviors or how to say, cool sounding hackers and bad-guy police and security and then the bit-of-everything normal peds (Sometimes quite humorous.) and so on.
(I hadn't thought about the "street workers" but they do have that as well, plus they also stand out due to their easily identified "uniforms".)

I've just finished it finally Wink I guess it's OK game (I'm not touching technical side though) but it could have been so much more. I just wish ubisoft stopped exploiting overused ideas that are no longer interesting and engaging, dropped collectibles boring nonsense and stuff like that , and start doing something new. And ffs ! No more "viewpoints" mechanic!

PS oh, and general/fast (stealing,atms, bridges and whatnot) hacking is OK. "Actual" hacking is done as a mini game and it's fine as it is.

I'm sorry, Phil, but either that's complete bullshit, or you have a very different definition for smooth from the rest of us.

I have a 3570k at 4.5 and a 780 Ti, SSD, 8 gigs of RAM. Stutters like crazy, tried every combination of fixes.

Yup.

I really like the game so far, doing all side missions and collectibles first (I only did the first 3 story missions to unlock all skills). The atmosphere is amazing, the driving took some getting used to but I actually really dig it now.

With that said, this:

then the ac games, and now this.
I guess they only delayed it to botch it for console kiddies
