can you compare the physics in 360 version to ps4 one?
i could swear from the videos i ve seen there is a distinctive difference.

Ubisoft's dev clarified that the gameplay (physics, control and animation mechanics) are the same on all platforms.

Who said it looks terrible on PS4 ? Well anyone in the PC section.

But now that the game is out, after 100 pages of bashing the graphics, PC section praise the game graphics Laughing

Well according to you GTAV looks better on PS3 than W_D does on PC.. but hey..

Regardless, there's a huge downgrade from 2012 reveal, but this is more like the 2013 footage. Texture quality is poor, outdoor daytime lighting is bland, indoor/nighttime lighting is nice. Game feels good to play but I only really tested for half an hour before deleting, I'll keep my Uplay preorder and season pass. Runs at 50-60 most of the time (hey cyclone ) on great settings, does need some patching though as the typical Ubi "look in certain directions > watch performance drop 20%" dealio ... still faster than PS4 though, hey again cyclone ) -- All in all I'd say it was on par with games like Sleeping Dogs with a mix of settings - and the lighting, bad as it is, still beats GTA5.

Was it worth the wait and does it justify the system requirements? Egh... I'll let you know when I've put more time into it, but if you've got the XB or PS4 versions then you'll be happy Smile

Imo GTAV on PS3 in daylight looks better than W_D PC Ultra settings. By "better" I mean better lighting, more colorful, more "believable" (realistic) and not as bland as W_D. I don't compare textures or anything like that. Even with worse textures and aliasing I find GTAV prettier to look at.

I also thought daylight looked better on GTA V, while nighttime (preferably rain) is what Watch_Dogs really looks best in. While I guess in W_D day is more realistically lit, seeing the comparision outside, I prefer the looks of V.

Around 5 hours in on PS3, going back to what I was playing before. It's sad to think I refreshed forums and nfohump everyday for one week waiting for the tiniest piece of news about the leak.. It's boring and missions are repetitive, I really wanted to love this game.

I remember when GTA V came out I didn't sleep for two days straight..

Edit: But then again, I can't name one bad game from Rockstar, while Ubi had plenty. Quality over quantity.

Seriously? Before the trailer where he escapes on the train, you knew nothing of the game? That trailer wasnt that long ago if I remember correctly.

Seems like it was around Oct or somewhere. Even with GTA V I just watched that first trailer and didn't read or watch anything else. If it's something I feel like I'll be interested in trying I read/watch as little as possible so it's all new and unexpected when I start playing. But if it's something I'm not sure about then I'll read some or watch some vids and make a decision.

In general I try to avoid any information about a game if I know I'm gonna be interested in playing it.

The campaign gets a little more interesting, but no way near GTA 5 quality. The story is pretty shallow, and the character development is very limited. I don't really care either way for any of them tbh. But the missions get a little better and more interesting, I also feel more powerful with unlocked 70% of the skills and perks.

Im in middle of act 4, about 12+ hours in.

I agree with you fearwhatnow.

Sorry to disagree with you sabin, but that's the way it is I guess. For a 2014 game, supposed to be next-gen, it looks bad graphically. I expected a complete breakthrough compared to PS3 games, but this one barely looks better... Downscale it to 720p + FXAA and nothing remains about this game to really shine...

Huge disappointment overall. Can't wait for the PC section to get the chance to have a PC version of GTA V, because some of them (not you since you had a PS3 and have a 360) are missing the BEST open world game.

Not sure why I expected WD to be on par... I guess the scripted E3 2012 trailer made me think of that. And I won't argue with PS4 shit and what not but honestly I really think that PS4 could have handled the E3 2012 trailer. Hell even the PC version isn't E3 2012 material, that doesn't mean it's because a PC can't handle it, but more likely because it was scripted and just a portion of the game. They couldn't make the full version as good as this portion.

Sadly, gotta admit that ClaudeFTW was right and this game is a big joke... I guess DNF haters felt the same way playing DNF Laughing

Well Amazon say my Watch Dogs PS4 order is 'dispatching now'. I guess that means they will send it today. I have to say there has been a lot of negativity surrounding this the pirate releases have been made available online for Xbox360 and PS3.

Im still very much hyped however and hoping to get my game by Tuesday Very Happy

well they just dispatched my order. I wonder if this means I might even get it tomorrow (slim chance tbh).

also seems it's too late for me to cancel too. There goes £42 I guess...

The problem is that GTA5 in term of open world sets the bar high. However the hacking gameplay is great and its really smooth in WD. Will it be enough to make a good game ? I'm doubtful for the time being
