Cheap ... check.
Live action ... check.
Shit ... check.

Yep its cheap live action shit but I like it. Clearly there were budget issues but so what?! It was awesomely nostalgic.

You're from Another World anyway ... Apparently Cool Face

That's even more terrible. Why the fuck they put a real person in there, filmed in front of a really obvious green screen? And it's always some fugly durr that can't act. Would have been much better if they used a CGI person.

Another World circa 1991 on the Amiga was so waayyy ahead of its time. WHOLE FCUKING GAME was on a single floppy! Surprised Shocked Surprised I was so incredibly impressed at that time of the quality yet fit on a small 3.5" disk back then! Day-um!!!!!!

Not a terrible attempt, but not impressive either, imo. The "action" parts near the end were especially amateurish. Recreating the same style/feel of such iconic games under a modern light is nearly a mission impossible, people always end up ruining it. Razz

Actually, Another World was on two floppies.. but your point still stands; DAMNED impressive for the time. The rotoscope visuals and cutscenes were great, the voice samples, the music -- phenomenal game. To be honest, I actually like these two live action vids - they're cheesy and low budget, but I thought that added to the charm, especially the one I posted above which tried to "remake" the classic opening nearly scene for scene. I guess that's just me Very Happy

but the Amiga version has ONE LEVEL CUT to make it fit into those 760kb [thats the size of a AMIGA DISK] , what level you say well ... its one before the arena when you get to that strange alien tank ...

its only 7 min long , but that level was not in the Amiga version

Another World was on two floppies and nothing was cut, the game was made longer on subsequent versions after reviewer/public feedback about how short the game was.

Beauty. The game is inmortal. I replayed it (after 20 years) only a few months ago and it was incredibly atmospheric experience just like the first time Smile
