Good luck with Haswell overclocking.

Getting it to 4.4ghz is no problem at least. Can probably go higher with a bit better cooling as well.

No no, us Haswell owners are wrong. Haswell can't be overclocked

And for the rest: ignore this useless piece of crap benchmark. The results are complete nonsense. The scores include things which some CPUs are exceptionally good at due to short circuiting certain operations, which instantly skews all the results. But the actual tests themselves are very superficial and don't represent any real world application. Furthermore, all the results in the charts are an average of all the samples they've collected; where it says "3770K @ 3.5" what it really means is "3770K @ whateverclockspeedtheuserrunningthebenchmarkhadatthetime". There's a reason you don't see Passmark used in any reviews (I think only TweakTown uses it).

I don't know why they'd say something as dumb as "any CPU that scores over 9000" as out of the 9 tests PT runs, 6 are absolutely irrelevant, 2 are irrelevant because how it tests is nonsense. It's just not a realistic representation of what the game will actually do on the CPU. Especially since PT runs these tests separately, in sequence, using all cores for each test on its own whereas the game will have bits running in parallel.

Benchmark gives much higher scores for HT enabled processors too, my 2600k @ 4.6 scores 10697. HT doesn't do much for most games so don't feel bad if your newer non HT processor scores less.

edit2: without vsync 4106 and 30% slower than 680 (my GPU scores 2776 in that, 680 supposedly 92% better Razz)

Anyways parts that worked CPU 10371 Memory 2567 Disk 3168

Also on Single threaded test I lose 26% to 3770K that runs single core @3.9GHz (with turbo), yeah sure. Overall score is identical, so either that test is useless or that 3770k is OCd to 4GHz+. edit: ah so it seems, doubt that many run K prosessor stock, so 4GHz+ avarage sample it is.

So I'm supposedly good for Ultra then, I highly doubt I get the FPS on ultra I'd want Smile But bring on high, those PS4 footages already look sweet.

Also, if you check 'monitor refresh rate' in options it enables vsync and thus invalidates all of your GPU tests.

You definitely know what I've meant.

Of course I do, but the way you and others put it is....I don't even have words for how dumb it is.

"Good luck with overclocking" would indicate that it is next to impossible and it simply isn't. I had mine fully stable at 4.6 within an hour. Topped out just over 60 degrees (H100i) at 1.28v, not delidded or anything; ambient temperature is generally 23-24 degrees. I don't know what universe you live in, but that's far from horrible in mine. The reason Haswell is said to be "bad" at overclocking is because of how the voltage goes up faster than SB/IB between 4.5 and 5.0 and as a result it doesn't clock *higher* than its predecessors. It can also take more though, due to the split voltages. If you check the various threads on forums, people are happily running 4.5 on air without any special tricks just like they were with SB/IB. The enthusiasts are happily running 5.0 with a loop and/or delidding.

I bet the game runs like shit on any desktop processor (only next-gen AMD console CPUs runs it good, which would score like 1-2k from passmark Laughing). Anyway what a retarded ubiderp guy "CPU that scores over 9000 from passmark" Laughing

Console thread:

- Here's some new game footage
- Here's some leaked news
- Here's the first review

PC thread:

- Here are my spec's
- Here are MY spec's
- Here is a picture of my e-penis
- Here is a picture of my e-penis erect
- Here is a graph

Yeah, but the difference is console gamers are like locusts - they consume a game on release day then the interest, and subsequent threads, die within weeks. PC gamers will still be playing, replaying, modding, tweaking, improving and discussing games for months.. if not years Wink

yea thats why:

pre-release till 2 days after release: console thread
past 2 days after release: pc thread

after 2 days the last fool has managed to get his settings right and people start to discuss the actual game
