I imagine this new one will be closest to RTCW with a touch of Bioshock narrative.
I mention it now because I played through the original in widescreen co-op with some friends who visited (not huge gamers) and their minds were blown by its almost mobile-game-like simplicity. I realize the irony of that statement but when it comes down to it, elegance in game design trumps all. |
Aye! The game hasn't lost its charm for sure . I've recently replayed it along with some other classics (Doom1/2 + Brutal mod, Duke Nukem 3D + High Res/eduke32), they still kick ass and shit all over the 90% of the first person shooters released these days.

Noiice. I'm keeping that one for last because I'm waiting for the new Brutal Doom version to get released, should be a blast . Watch out though, replaying all these games is almost like a drug..now there are all the Quakes, Jedis, Monolith gems and others that are tempting me and I need to resist the temptation..

I wanna go try to buy this puppy. Been waiting a long time for this. Local store has the game listed as available. Question would be if it needs activation ?

PC version needs to be activated on Steam, disc itself contains part of the game data but it's locked/encrypted so until they allow the game to be preloaded (Which should have been done on Friday two days ago but for some reason that did not happen so it seems we'll just get one day if anything assuming they allow downloading on Monday.) otherwise you can't do anything with the disc other than redeem the actual key on Steam early.

Retarded A.I. aside, shooting mechanics in Wolfie seem a lot more satisfying than those found in A:CM, and the selection of weapons is nice.
However, it's pretty silly how the weapon that fires a beam that melts steel like butter loses some of its effectiveness when it comes in contact with organic Nazis.
It should melt the organ it comes in contact with, make a hole, something, anything that results in a dead Nazi, not a pissed off one.
Assuming that is the weapon in the gif.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Thanks for completing it, without you pointing it out it would not have been a perfect execution!
