I tried it on 1.01 and it works.. Could be that update doesn't change the fear.exe file..

Yeah but it could also be that it works with the update but you don't get the improvements. Or not all of them.

I just tried the game. Both versions 1.00 and 1.00 with crack applied.
Quick saves, normal saves and checkpoints work flawlessly.
Autosave refers to the save point created at the beginning of each level.
Can anybody who's got past the first level confirm if the autosave from the beginning of the second level, for example, has been created? (both for 1.00 and 1.01 version)

dunno about mapstart saves....but i get an automatic "checkpoint saved..." every now and then (about 5-10 per map)
v1.01 btw...

i have checked it and the save works perfect looks like some one is spreding rumors to nuke this crack
