At least they added swimming *it's something*, but yep, looks very vintage.
I still don't get why they're not using Risen 1's fighting system. They don't have to reinvent anything, just admit your mistakes, re-implement the old one and everyone will be happy again. I guess it's because in order to get used to it you needed a lot of patience, and that was unbearable for the lazy casual gamer.

Don't care how it looks. PB games were always behind the curve. Give me a PB world to discover and GOOD FUCKING COMBAT, and I'm set. Seems like we're not getting the second one for sure.

I love the atmosphere in PB games - and I adore the exploration. The weather/lighting system in both the Risen games was fantastic - even if the model and animations were kinda clunky.
I'd take one Risen 3 over ten Dragon Age 3s any day of the week and twice on sunday.

I totally agree, the degree of immersion is amazing. I get sucked into this risen games like no other.

Can't be... I thought it's the guy in the previous screenshots. Unless, for the first time in a PB game you can customize your character visually. Hmm... in any case, it looks great to me, but I still didn't finish the first one. The main reason is the performance. I thought the game runs great at release then later on I got this widescreen monitor and everything just went to shit. It's playable, but it just feels so sluggish. On top of that I lost the saves for it so I'll have to start from scratch.

Don't care about gfx but honestly this looks fine to me.Im happy as long as they get the story, combat, npcs and so on right this time Risen 2 was a total clusterfuck and the only Pb game so far i couldn't finish.

Looks quite dated, but if the story is there and the gameplay is good I don't really care. So guess we'll have to see once it gets released. |

I think it looks like shit. I expect a good gameplay from a good looking game, just as I expect good graphics with good gameplay. I'm probably not as forgiving as you guys since I thought Risen 2 was bleh. I couldn't understand how Risen 1 could look and play better than Risen 2, now I still can't understand how Risen 1 can look better than Risen 3. Maybe it's my nostalgia goggles.
