If it crashes upon launch and you're using HDMI monitor cable then look here:

Basically try launching the game while your tv/screen cable is unplugged and wait a few seconds for it to load to menu then plug it back in and try that.
Must be something about the game not being able to determine what resolution to use. Not surprisingly, it made it past whatever QA they have.

Downloaded the reloaded release before i bought the game. What's the steam folder? Sometimes steam has shitty folder names for games. Is it "Dark souls 2"?

Oh and in Dark Souls II folder there's a "Game" folder where you need to copy all the files. Depends on how the reloaded release is packed, but just in case.

Bahh the game just crashes at startup on my 52" Tv with a 770 and I'm not gonna unplug my connection everytime.. are there any other fixes?

I didn't even apply Sweetfx yet. I just click the exe and it stalls out with a white window for 5 or so seconds then says Dark Souls 2 has stopped working under windows 7 64
|

Don't be silly. They've never heard of this fabled "mouse" in the land of the NES controller. 
They can build robots like nobody's business, but the idea of mouse and keyboard control eludes them to this day. I always wonder if anyone else finds that as incredibly sad/ironic as me.
