Ok, game is good , when I say good I dont mean "average" or "fantastic" , but after all its
OK FPS game.
But I dont find this game scary or gory. That litlle girl looks like that bitch from THE RING , I dont find that kind of movie particullary scary..I am more into "gore stuff" , and talking about
gore , even in BLOOD 1,2 and SOF 1 you cant shoot the guy limb by limb , you cant do that here , even old DOOM 2 have heads on the stick and impaled bodys , here are none.
in HL 1,2 you can beat guys head with crawbar , etc.
This game is fun , but it should hace PG-13 , not "MATURE" rating , cause it lacks of horror stuff , hell when I play game wich genre is "horror-FPS" I except galons of blood , not just average decent movie sequences , there should be massacre not stupid paranormal shit.

after about 6hours of playing i think i also might add my impressions.
Graphics: 9/10 mostly great, only some areas look a little "empty", some textures a little sloppy...
Sound: 9/10 nice music, great gunsounds (normal and slomo) add alot to the...
Atmosphere: 10/10 creepy, dark, chilling.the noise(hissing?) that announces some freaky shit, the conversations you can hear on the phones, build and keep the tension.
A.I: 10/10 i think this is the area where F.E.A.R. is groundbreaking. never have i seen such clever opponents. they react differently when they are in squads than when they are alone, look for cover, try to flank, use grenades, use melee attacks when they are useful. AMAZING 
and...since the 1.01 patch performance has improved remarkably.
Overall: 9/10 definitely more than just an average fps

well the game doesnt like 7800gtx since it froze my computer 2 times at the same spot...

You are a fucking retard with shit for brains, why in the hell would they rate this game PG-13 when it has swearing, people get their bodies torn apart, people have their heads blasted with shotguns .. and the list goes on .... why should they put PG-13 and then get sued, think before you type.

Haven't had any crashes but I ain't too happy with performance. I've got a overclocked A64 3500 with a 7800gtx and the only playable resolution for me is 1024x768 with 4xaa. I refuse to put stuff on medium so everything is maxed and this game has baaad jaggies so I need my AA. Just thought it would be better optimized. Suppose I could put stuff on medium but then it looks like crap. Only thing I have off is soft shadows.
I have the patch installed and I tried the newest 81.85 drivers and they didn't really help as much as I had hoped.

Ah this is fun. After playing the singleplayer yesterday and had lots of fun I tried out multiplayer with this version. Worked great on the first server tried and no lag what so ever.. And helluva fun also.

hell yea if they are as moronic as that jackass, I have no problem with poeple who actually use their brains before they say/do something, but some of the idiots here are just plain retarded and need to be reformed.

Had the same error simply restart your comp
then use SR7_STOP becoz anti-blaxx will not work any more
