The VR headset definately needs even more resolution than just 1080p. I have tested out couple times oculus rift with the 720p resolution and it just looks hilariously bad (you can pretty much count the pixels its that bad). So dont think 1080p looks that much better.
Other than that, the technology itself is impressive, feels very good! VR has great future if the resolution is right (the higher the resolution more power needed from GPU and sadly i dont think PS4 is gonna do anything above 1080p).

i tested the 1080p oculus and yes, its still not nearly enough, we will need 4k for this eventually, so the only way to go is on pc.
Sony's had some VR tech on show at this year's GDC, but it's also showing off some eye-tracking gear that's just as impressive.

In this clip, The Verge get some hands-on time with a special test build of the new Infamous game, and...throws some fireballs using their eyes. You're not controlling the entire game using your eyes, just a few actions, but still. Neat.
Note that the hardware itself isn't from Sony; Sony simply modified existing tech with their own code so it could be implemented in games like the custom Infamous build seen here.
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"

I want more control of my downloads, nothing more annoying then needing to dl a 40GB game and wanting to play something else online at the same time. Lag city due to the B/W usage.
Yeah and I rumor that Sony will require you to buy PS2 games again and again and again (for the 3rd time if you had bought them on PS2, then ps2 classics...).
No way they will be nice enough and make their emulator non crippled that allows you to boot disc games (and CDR ? )....
For Xbox One owners, your reputation on Xbox Live could penalize you if it's less than favorable. This month, those who do not have a "Good Player" rating will receive feedback directly from Xbox.
The reputation currently has three categories, Good Player, Needs Work, and Avoid Me. The more hours a player plays online with others without being reported as abusive, the better your reputation rating will be. Xbox has an algorithm in place that tags players who are repeatedly reported as abusve across the Xbox Live community. Microsoft emphasize that a "vast majority" of players fall in the Good Player category.
Anyone who in the Needs Work group will receive a warning, and those labeled as Avoid Me will have matchmaking limitations and may have certain privileges revoked, such as streaming on Twitch.
Microsoft has assured that the algorithm will not punish those for bad reports over just a few weeks, and it will also adjust for false reports from players who might be griefing others.
Or it might cause people to gang up and report others to push them into the low rating category, still like you said it might be beneficial though it'll take time.
(And it depends on what penalties Microsoft decides to impose, not like they could outright ban them from using the device online since I think that would be illegal even if it's temporary, then again they kinda do that already when you are suspect of using modified content from what little I know about the X360 system.)
oh you mean it has 4 exclusives games and 96 ports from PC
Well that is a good thing, I hate exclusives... But to make it into an achievement that they have 100+ games now... bit silly especially when you opened up to indie devs to get there. Which isn't that special tbh
