Mercenary kings... what a disappointment this was made this months free game. Fucking hipster 8-bit retro POS game. Played it for 15 seconds and already completed the game.
Id say the PSN+ price is fair... IF you got a PS3. Still way better deals. Yeah, I know... Sony can't magically make games appear, but the lack of content for PS4 sucks.
When I first got PS4 and saw blacklight retribution and warframe I was hoping free games would pop up every week similar to steam. I was pretty wrong there
I've seen Hotline Miami is cross play and since it's free atm should we take it, even though it isn't for PS4 yet? Once they make it for PS4, will it become available for us automatically, because we've already claimed it?

Always make it a rule to grab EVERY game you can, just so that it's "activated" on your account and available to you forever - even when it's removed from the PSN+ bundles.

this is something i still didnt understand with ps+, is it enough to just download the free game once so its forever available for me even if i uninstall it one day, or do i have to keep it on the console forever?
Yes, it's enough to just hit download most of the time as "activation" is done on download and not on run. Some games don't activate until install though, so yeah, there's that. Once activated you can delete the content and it will be in your "purchase" history forever
You just need to "buy" the games themselves, you don't even need to download them. Whenever you "buy" them (I say "buy", because for Sony it's still a 0€ purchase), they will stay in your download history forever, and as long as you are subscribed to PS+, you can install them forever.
fucking great, thx for clearing it up both of you.
right now with all the small indie games its not a problem, but soon when the first big games arrive, the knacks and killzones, my hdd space will disappear in a second.
You can also "activate" free games from the web. If you go to http://us.playstation.com/psn/plus-latest/ and login with your PSN account, you can add the games to your account and then just do a checkout. This was they are tied to your account as well, and you don't even need to power up your PS4

For those of you unfamiliar with Octodad, he’s a normal everyday father with an adoring family, but he just so happens to be an octopus! Life for him is a neverending struggle to control his wobbly limbs and to conceal his cephalopod secret from his loved ones. In Dadliest Catch, Octodad and his family take a disastrous trip to the aquarium, putting him at odds with marine biologists, a manic sushi chef, and his wife’s ever rising suspicions…
We started Octodad as a ragtag group of students, and it’s been a long and crazy ride getting our silly game on the PS4. This is our first foray into consoles, and we’re proud to be here. We released Octodad on PC back in January, and since then we’ve taken the time to improve it based on feedback from our players. The latter third of the game in particular has gone through some radical changes, with added challenges like deck swabbing, jig dancing, and new disguises to wear!
The PS4 version also has support for new controller configurations like PlayStation Move, double PlayStation Moves, and our personal favorite, PlayStation Move plus Nav controller! Let’s not forget local co-op mode, where you and your friends each take control of one of Octodad’s limbs and collectively cause chaos!
Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be $14.99, discounted 20% off for PlayStation Plus users for the first week, making it $11.99 through April 29th.

PS4: Octodad: Dadliest Catch

when will PS4 PS+ memebers start getting something more than 1 small PSN game per month? this is starting to become ridiculous. PS3 owners constantly getting 3-4 major AAA titles while PS4 owners get what could equal to jack shit.
ugh do not want, mercenary kings was grindy but alot of fun, played through the game twice, solo and coop, did all the missions afterwards, got maybe 30 hours of fun out of it.
stick it to the man doesnt seem to be fun, yes artistic and wannabe-unique, but i am sick of the cheap collage look that many games mimic since little big planet´s success, and the gameplay seems very bland.
