And 100% deserved too . They play the most enjoyable football in Europe at the moment, imo (I'm not a fan of Barca&Bayern's slow tiki taka, and Real/Chelsea often rely on their strong individualities neglecting team play). Suarez is a monster but the whole team is doing great, especially Gerrard..he's such a legend. Kudos to Brendan, hope they make it.. even if it will be tough as hell

And on top of that, they will be a "new" face in the champions league. Every year it's the same teams over and over again. It gets pretty stale. LFC vs Milan in the finals again please. That is why I hope for At. Madrid's success because they are always overshadowed by Barcelona and Real.

I know. I meant it as in someone other than Bayern, Barca, Real or Chelsea in the finals. Milan vs LFC in the finals now seems so exotic especially with how far Milan has fallen.

Everything went better than expected for ManU Bayern looked a bit too relaxed at times..
And Diego, that bastard couldn't even hit the target from 5 meters when he was at Juve! What a goal ( http://gfycat.com/AbleBothIberiannase )

I watched At. Madrird vs Barcelona and Diego's goal was just beautiful. Guess this is the only way to play Barcelona. Gotta wait for counter attacks.
Glad to see Manchester wasn't humiliated (for now, away game will be much tougher). With a shitty season like that, they can at least say they didn't lose 7-0 like someone we know.

Zizou was such a joy to watch, that wasn't even football, it was art. He was probably the most technically gifted player I have ever seen.
I just read that RM is risking too for the same reason..which means that the ban(s) will be lifted like nothing happened ;(

YES! Both teams I wanted to advanced did. Real looked like crap though. Now let's hope MU beats Bayern and Athletico beats Barcelona and then I wouldn't know who to root for.

Atletico played a perfect match, the Barca boys were outclassed in every department. They managed to turn both Messi and Iniesta into useless players, which doesn't happen very often. Well deserved!

I hope atletico gets la liga and champions league this year.
Thats what football is about, good teams sweating for the love of football, not the crappy " lets buy all the most expensive mercenaries and win" mentality.
David Villa, discarded by Barcelona, showed them what they discarded

They took the evanescent overpaid Naymar du Brasssil as a replacement when they already had Alexis and Pedro ready to cover that role perfectly. And with that move they pissed off Messi, too.
"We don't need a #9" they said. Too bad that both Villa and Eto'o before him were crucial pawns in their past victories.
In other news, St Pirlo saved the day, again. GKs don't even bother anymore
