Did you block it in firewall also?

Probably something to do with the cracktro that auto plays.

 Spoiler:

It's in full screen when it starts.

Hmmm not so sure, cracktro plays, exits, then the Simcity logo appears on the screen briefly, then the Simcity launcher loads stating it is in single player mode, press play and the game starts to load but just a black screen with the pointer.

You cannot block the exe with your firewall or it doesn't load.

This worked, I unblocked the exe and it now loads. Not too happy allowing a cracked exe through my firewall though. Origin is not installed on my PC, not sure if that makes any difference.

This game is boring.

And then every now and then you get the RCI need bugs. Oh well, at least I didn't pay for it. No regrets when I delete it Very Happy

The Amusement Park is only partially enabled, you will miss one of the three entrances. Open up the DLC.1911 and remove all // for all of the keys and then you will get it.

Anyone know how to hexedit the exe for removing the Cracktro like in GTA 4 ?

Well, actually this mod (or presentation) is a bit messy and confusing.
So the mod allows you to build anything everywhere ? ... but the way it does it is kinda meh unfortunately.

Absolute bullshit. I'm calling shenanigans. Maxis said larger cities weren't possible! Home computers aren't powerful enough for them! That video is so fake.

I guess PC has been keeping up nicely with the cloud... Well, except in the memory department.

That's good to hear, another 2-3 years of intense modding and we can finally have a SimcitV with the same features as Simcity 4!

Agreed. The developer level high end mac laptops used by Maxis for developing the game are not available to the public.

I can hear the sound of desperation from here Aww Yeah Very Happy
And to think that it would have been so easy. Simcity 4 + NAMM with the new engine, optional MP et voilà. But nope, better become a laughingstock and lose even the little credibility left! #justEAthings
Unfortunately the game still sold fairly well as far as I remember Okay

I blame Apple.

EA are doing the same thing they do - make bland, identical to last year's model stuff, and make it really shiny, and persuade sheep that it MUST be better than the last one because the number is one more than previously.

I mean, the original iPhone, while not the most stunning of hardware specs (2G Laughing), it was certainly a kick up the ass for the mobile OS market - you could say it made Android a possibility.

But now, it's the same old crap in different shapes, sizes and costs - albeit very HIGH costs, with virtually no real effort put into design or innovation, cos shit sells.

And so we come to EA, who are doing precisely the same thing (as are other COD-sorry, companies). Why put EFFORT in, when we can just dress stuff up to LOOK impressive (ish), and then just lie about the actual gameplay - shove it out as SimCity V and watch the $$$ roll in, cos it was almost as highly anticipated as HL3.

Cunts.
