Finally got decent internet. 50/35 fiber optics directly to my router. Can get up to 350mbit. It took fucking ages. For some reason no ISP would work with my appartment building for the last 10 years. I literally saw coverage maps with just my building missing in a 20 km radius. So I had to use the shitty 6mbit dsl.

Its most likely what the ISP can offer... IF he wants to pay an insane amount of money.

Yes, I chose a 50 mbit plan which is 8 EU/month. 350 costs 30EU.

Is that via UTP cable or some kind of modem? 350 is king of strange..
So your line is connected on 350mbit, but you're shaped to 50mbit?
It's pretty nice, I pay 16eur for 100/100.

How was the installation ? Read a lot of negative opinions towards personal doing the installation. Companies contracted to do the installation are overwhelmed with orders, so they subcontract another company and they subcontracts again Very Happy So, lots of "specialists" treat optical cable as Ethernet cable and bend it in unhealthy way Shocked

Didn't have any problems actually. Left an application online. Some woman called me and we set up the time. The dudes got here on time. I had specific requests - wanted them to install the router/modem in the study and not above the entrance as they planned. Everything went fine. They even used lube to push the cable delicately through Smile

Congrats. I've switched from 8 Mb to 80 recently, but I'm still yet to see such speed - my router can't handle it Very Happy

Went from 30-100 (down) last week. Only problem is my upload is just 6Mb. Still better than the 2Mb up I had before though.
