>>> if anything majorly influenced by liquids personality.
This.
During the fight you obviously noticed also the music changing from MGS1, to 2, to 3 and finally to 4. And Ocelot here acted like Ocelot when MGS1 music happened, like Liquid when MGS2 happened, and like Ocelot (with his famous gesture) during MGS3 music.
During MGS4 music iirc his name was also Liquid-Ocelot in the health bar, confirming the ", if anything majorly influenced by liquids personality."
Or maybe I'm all wrong ? The story was confusing for me, but this is what I remember from playing it in 2008

Ok I just checked again, I was kinda bullshitting about the names, it's first Liquid, then Liquid-Ocelot, then ends with Ocelot, and I remember concluding back then that step by step, during the fight, that Ocelot was recovering his mind and finally be the Revolver Ocelot he always was before dying.

Might have done that, but as far as the dialogues went, i certainly didn't notice it, and neither did Snake :S

I think he did, just when Ocelot said "You're pretty good", you can also hear the echo of young Ocelot (MGS3) saying it too.

Well, we have seen him doing stuff like that before in the game. He also had 2 weapons equipped 1 in each hand at a time. Don't recall where exactly. Might be Ocelot surfacing now and then.

Yeah possibly. But for sure it was Ocelot acting all along and sometimes forgetting he is Ocelot and not Liquid
That being, said, my favorite MGS game ever is definitely MGS3. Ocelot is bad ass here too.
Sadly, although MGS V GZ is good, I don't have the same feeling as when I'm playing MGS3.
I see that Ocelot has an important part in The Phantom Pain working with Snake, so this is gonna be elite !

Yeah thought the bosses were stupid, but the fight vs the End was epic (although they were tricks to skip it/beat it easily) compared to other bosses, and you needed to think to kill him.
Still I wasn't much of a fan of the bosses fight, in any MGS games actually...
I remember the Psychomantis fight being funny on PSX since you need to plug your gamepad in port 2 so he can't read your mind.
And I like Kojima trolling in MGS4 where if you play MGS4 with a Sixxaxis (back then, Dual shock 4 didn't exist), then Psychomantis says he will try to make your gamepad move, but you need to put it on a flat surface.
Then he notices he can't, explaining that's because PS3/Sixxaxis doesn't support vibrations
That was when Sony was sued by some brand, I don't remember.
