I wouldn't call it a massive update, especially compared to AC3, but it looked pretty good. Hopefully they'll be able to do something grander technically this time due to the new consoles, and by extension the PC port. I say technically, since I expect no amount of innovation from this series. The gameworlds are nice atleast.
Published on Mar 21, 2014 Qu'ils mangent de la brioche [Let them eat cake]! We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand! So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!
And its official - So Unity is the nextgen-only +PC , wondering when they announce the oldgen one

If it only looks half as good as that prerender trailer, sold. The more of these kind of titles roll on, the more a next gen console makes sense, or a greater PC upgrade. Either way, interesting.
finally some nice old european architecture to climb. notre dame is gonna be a blast.
graphically it looks good but did you notice the copy pasted peasants in the end shot are clipping into the guillotine stand. at least it shows its not cgi
French Revolution is fine..and according to the leaks it will also play in London.
I wonder if we will ever see an AC with playable sequences during the First Civilization (where you play one of the enslaved humans).
I'm also not to keen on Far East backdrops but there was an AC comic series once that played in India which got me interested in that particular scenario.
So no boat combat?
Just another conga line of enemies lining up to be killed?
they are making a separate game with the boat stuff i think, also apparently london will be in the PS360 game not the X1/PS4 one, either way we should be getting both.
It's rendered in real time. You can see the clipping and aliasing when viewing it in 1080p.

I don't even want to think about this being another watch dogs scenario. I will expect those graphics and be happy until it hits and disappoints me
And of course I will buy this, I played every ac game yet, and will do with this one. ACIV was awesome, and btw. no one should want feudal japan, it's feudal china or bust
On the PC? You have got to be joking. Visually, it's a massive step-up from every Assassin's Creed game released till date.
Its like Emma watson for me. I don't love it.
It looks like upresed old gen game with TERRIBLE looking characters and good looking water + the game is stiff as hell. Animations are downright terrible and it was just boring for me

Gotta agree with KC... Pushing ac4 ps360 in 1080p would be enough to achieve pretty much the same quality as the "Next gen" versions. The game looks good but nothing special specially compared to ac3 which looked great for its time.
