Sorry but who's Salle? U mean Kalou?? Confused

Alexander Östlund is nicknamed "Salle" in Sweden.

Ah didnt know that! Well he's a decent defender, but he's slow and not very technical. He's getting critisized sometimes but he's a hard working pro so I like him.

You can get loads of mods from the sigames site. player pics, kits etc...I think if you had them with fm2005 they should still work with fm2006

I tried my fm2005 sound file with the fm2006 gold demo and got in match sound! Very Happy

It doesnt look like we will get this until maybe a day before its release..i think sigames went to a lot of trouble to make sure they dont get a leak like last year

The demo wasn't that impressive to be honest. The game is solid but there is nothing OUTSTANDING about the latest release. I can't wait until I get my hands on it but at the same time I'm not slavouring at the edge of my mouth. If you catch my drift Smile

Very true, BUT for me once a new version of a game that I like is released regardless of wether there are tons of added features or not, I wont be able to play the "old" version once I know a new one is out there.

You can get a full feature list from sigames site, or just download the demo as its about 43mb for the english quick start one.

I think its got a few tiny bugs but not major to spoil the game, but heres a list of features I think are good additions

Manager contracts, you initialy start on 1 yr contract
Player favorite mover, these are shown on player profile screen
Preferred player positions, shows how strong a player is on parts of the pitch
Better commentry and match engine! seems smoother and more fluid
Improved manager interaction with regards to media and manager mind games
Much better training and physio feedback
Some players have a comparison, e.g. Messi is labeled the new Gallardo and Nilmar is labeled the new Ronaldo
Thats just some of the new stuff, also the menus have been cleaned up a bit and are more easier to access now. The quick tactic function in match is a very good new feature also as well as the teamtalks!

OMG I need this game... Crying or Very sad

I loved the old Champ Manager games. Didn't have time to immerse myself in FM2005 but I will certainly make time with this one.

Btw, some have mentioned a distain for defensive football. I feel this comes from a lack of knowledge of the beautiful game. Theoretically, the team with possession should always be able to score. What I mean is, if the game was played by robots that did no wrong, then those with possession would always score no matter what defense lay in front of them.

As a defender, I love watching a good defensive game as I appreciate the knowledge and skill involved.

Good defenders yes, but greek defenders no. There is a difference between defending and parking a coach in front of the goal. Maldini for example is the defensive equivilent of Zidane. Both sublime in doing what they do. Both about to retire Sad

Real Madrid have always been great to watch whether they win or lose. They have some of the best players on the planet and when they are on their game they are pretty much unbeatable, sadly they are so poor at the back if there flair players arent on their game they have no 'B' game and cant grind results out like teams like Chelsea, Juventus, Ac Milan Munich etc. Chelsea by no means at all have any of the best players even in their own country let alone the world, but the team unit as a whole work so well together and their defensive counter attacking tactics work well with the players they have got. They can also play attractive possesion football at times, but when the chips are down they are still very very hard to beat which is always a base to build from. Arsenals attacking brand of football probably wont win them anything again because teams now are all going 4-5-1 counter attacking making it harder and harder for attacking football teams because of the stifling tactics employed, This is one of the reasons arsenal were always so poor in europe. Man Utd went 4-5-1 (4-3-3) for about 15-20 games, but because it didnt suit the players and style of football they play they came unstuck because they tried attacking with this formation and because its generally suited to defending the positions those players found themselves in when attacking didnt allow for lots of players in the box. Which results in less chances and therefore less goals, more dropped points. THe fans demaded more attacking football and a return to 4-4-2 which happened last week against fulham, and it was probably one of the best game saof the season so far. Both sides playing 4-4-2 and the premier leagues reputation for the most exciting games returned. Until you watch chelsea and Liverpool play again!
