It's okay. Micro stuttering is a myth too, motion blur fixes low and unstable framerates and the human eye can't see more than <24/30/30> FPS anyway.

I don't really have an interest in portables, but I like the idea of this thing nonetheless. At least this actually does something meaningful for the money, unlike DRE BEATS lol wut

the device you listen music on makes a big difference, and the headphones obviusly an even bigger one.
some people have a very fine hearing while some people dont hear shit unless it drowns in bass (like many in this thread apparently Rolling Eyes )

You like totally ignore the part where I stress the uselessness of hi-end portable on the go, right? I listened to classic music, jazz and some classic rock on that Kenwood which was considered one of the best hi-end portables back in 2007-2008 and it really made no difference while on a bus or subway. It did with heavy monitor headphones but it wasn't comfortable.

That's the only thing I said.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

My missus is going nuts over this, she's a huge audiophile and has been wanting a high-end DAC for a while now - she has been eyeballing the new iRiver Astell&Kern AK100/120.

iBasso DX50 (the one I have) uses the same Audio chip as the AK100, and at half the cost and using an Android based OS. Custom firmwares are starting to happen!

It's touchscreen as well as some hard buttons

I hadn't updated since it didn't really seem worth it, it's obvious very few people here were interested .. but nonetheless, they massacred their funding goals three weeks ago, taking in over $6.2m at the end. Whether or not high-end audio is "placebo" isn't really the issue, some people can hear the difference and others can't.

@Mr Squirrel

As you know from Steam, my missus loved the idea of the iBasso and she's been doing a lot of research on it, so far everything seems great and she'll likely be picking one up in June when she gets tax back. Thanks bud! \o/

There I go reading: Neil Young's PORNO again, thinking I miss clicked and ended up in the Sexy Selection section Laughing

Pooha, 6.2 mil Surprised That was a success. Tho seems hardware has an easier time to get funding than software so shouldn't be a surprise to me anymore.

Why would someone invest in this tobleroni player ?

Can't you play flac audio in other players ? Or super high bitrate mp3s ?
