Last time I tried GTA IV it was unplayable for me. It ran in such an abysmal way that I couldn't even be bothered to find a way to fix the other problems like visual bugs and what not. Not worth it with such a boring game anyway.

They can redeem themselves making a super optimized PC version of GTA V  And after all patches, the game runs, and looks tons better than the console version, even on my machine, which is still a Core 2 Duo Of course everything on Max is not possible without a fantastic computer, but being a bad port, it's good it runs well for some people at least, 6 years after.

If GTA5 turns out to be a flawless port then they'll earn back some grudging respect. They'll never be forgiven for GTA4 though, not as far as I'm concerned. Terrible, terrible port.

Oh Microsoft, last gen was good to them, now they're a joke with a poorly designed console with a built in bottleneck.
Just look at MGS V:GZ, PS4 version is 1080p, 60 frames per second, XBone version is 720p, 60 frames per second.
$500 for a console that struggles above 720p, in 2014?
No wonder they're so desperate for Titanfall to be a success and move some units.
Even if they lower the price to $400, the PS4 is still the best bang for buck console this gen so there's no reason to get XBoned.
Maybe if they offer the XBone for $350 as a cheaper alternative to the PS4 they won't have warehouses full of unshipped units.
I hope consoles will soon become a thing of the past and more people make the switch to SFF/Steambox/whatever you want to call it.

That's why I mentioned GTA IV, it still runs like shit hence the 2008 release. And I bet Watch dogs will be the same, I'm not that stupid to believe what they say that the PC Version will look like the E3 2013 Demo...If thats the case they should show a Video with such gameplay so the crowd can stop wth the downsampling shit but it ain't gonna happen!

Max Payne 3 ran very smooth though. I get it that MP and GTA are totally different games. The first one is a shooter and the second one is an open world game, but still.... Maybe they have learned their lesson. We'll see.

MP3's major favor was the PC version had their own team dedicated to make the game. So yeah, it was big, but it was a good version. And yes you're right, different studios made each, but some exchange of tips and knowledge should've existed.
All in all, seeing Sabin's reaction, you know R* won't like another backleash like that on PC.

So Watch_Dogs has the PC as it's lead platform, if it's still true what has been said last year. Gotta see how this is gonna run, if they praise it THAT much. Sounds a little too good to be true.

Can't put my finger on quite exactly what, but there is something terribly off in the lighting here. It's just too flat. Not sure how to describe. GTA5 on the PS3 looks better in that regard, and it's a very important regard.

I completely agree, the lighting is really poor and looks "odd" - even the shadows are low quality, but the overall lighting is generally bad.
