@ JB Well, TI/II/III should be fine with like 100k DPS, depends tho.

Ha ha, I have barely 50.000 DPS with this current gear, going top be a while longer before that goes up further let alone 100.000
(Once I start getting other level 60 epic items and rares things will change, need something for my followers as well but I've not seen a epic trophy item yet or what they are called.)

I tried though (Because I'm a bit crazy.), gained a few paragon levels pretty easily but then a champion mob appeared with mortar and waller which felt like playing say Dark Souls for a while. Razz
(I took them down though but it took time, had to kill them one by one.)

Expert is probably what I'll do ROS on currently, I do OK on master up until groups of champions, probably wouldn't be able to handle the various bosses either.
(Taking it slow and building up items and other stuff, I keep saving all gems because I combine them higher and higher but I doubt I'll reach Marquise anytime soon, let alone the quality levels in the expansion.)

Im pretty relaxed with 54k dps on TI on my monk. And with 35k with my barb, but my barb is 100% tank, so it's a thousand years to kill an elite Laughing

Spending few more hours into it should boost your gear and DPS alot, I had 34k before 2.0.1, crappy gear and so on, and now reached 120k DPS (I'm a Wizard) and some...decent gear I'd say.

Also in some cases the so called "Smart Loot" ain't that fucking smart, since I have dozens of 2h swords / daggers and maces, most of the drops were weapons, way to few armor parts.

would be a bit stupid if every single item dropped is a perfect fit for your class and build, no?

But funny if the drops would seem to intelligently build something for you. Like "your ring is no good, here have this and since you like life per hit, the ring increases attack speed" Laughing

Obviously you are not going to find any upgrades unless get to level 70 to get new legs. Anything above 150K will be hard to replace now.
It's really not worth playing if you have around 150K because you are in for big disappointment..

That's why I stopped playing my 200K(300K) DPS DH..because getting an upgrade will be damn impossible.

- Moonlight ward for wizards
- Tal's set for wizards (new bonus.. you got 4 piece already? Lol lucker if so)
- Thunderfury + socket
- Kridershot (completely changes the way you play your DH+ makes it extremely OP)
- New nat's set again.. 4 set have fun
- Andariel's / Cindercoat / Bracers / etc etc.. all upgrades for GG and on top of that %damage to fire up to 80% + bonus
- Quivers and other items (legs mostly) with +% skill damage (in current state cluster arrow mostly)

And those items i mentioned are stuff people with proper gear would want, nevermind the ones who are saying .. "150k dps or 300k dh".. lool?

Etc etc.

Yellow items are only shit because instead of rolling ILVL 63 like they did before @ lvl 60 they're now max ilvl 60. Hence the low roll damage on weapons etc.

Plus some stats on trifecta got lowered iin the new system because the actual main stat @ 70 will inflate too much.

Does anyone know how much money drops in the xpac from the PTR? Is there massive inflation so your millions now are worthless?

has anyone here had experience with direct2play?

thinking about preordering the expansion for €29 and in comparison i would have to fork out €40 through bnet and ordering it locally is only a bit less than that.

Bought from them before, insta got the key, now in this case being a pre-order you might get the key only on release day, but it'll be there.

i finished game once when it initially came out and never played it again due to pathetic drops and RMAH and all that. now i reinstalled it and i must say it's pretty damn fun, drops are plenty and they are GOOD. if there are more people like me who only finished once it's definitely worth reinstalling the game now and giving it another go Wink

Opened a chest and it dropped some "Adventurer's Journal" with Epic (Orange) color, turns out it's not a receipt but instead some material for this - http://us.battle.net/d3/en/artisan/blacksmith/recipe/penders-purchase - which if that level requirement is accurate won't be something I'm using anytime soon.
(Not that I even know how to use it.)

EDIT: I guess I need a receipt as well, probably won't find it until Act V if ever. Razz

Ah I see, I guess it gives a first insight into the new high-level equipment then by finding these "materials" but finding the actual crafting plans will probably only happen once the expansion itself is released.

Good to know, I'll keep it around for whenever I actually reach level 70, which will probably take some time. Razz
(Especially as that nice experience boost event expires the day before the expansion is released, though those fonts help a bit and upping the difficulty is also a choice.)

you probably learn it by upgrading the blacksmith. The gloves are legendary, but they dont have any fixed stats, just "6 random magical properties".

just played this yesterday again for a long time, I played it through twice (normal & nightmare) in the first few weeks of release and never touched it again.
I've got to say they have improved the drops a lot since I played. only played about 1hr and pretty much was able to replace all my gear, also went from lvl 51 to 54 in that time because of the xp boost.

might get back into it

This game went from one of my deepest purchase regrets to a pretty addictive game with this patch. OFC it was late as fk (or lightning fast using Blizzard time Laughing), but they really turned the game around. I'll give them credit when it's due.

I have been playing again every day since the patch released, game is so damn addicting now... Cant really wait for RoS, gonna be goty for me for sure! One thing sucks tho, my buffed 250k(ish) dps barb does less damage than my freshly dinged Wizard with 120K dps gear Laughing

I'm opposite in that. My Barb used to be my best char since I was running WW build. With my Wiz I refused to use a CM build. Now my Wiz is owning and my Barb can barely beat T1 in a timely matter because I can't output any damage.

that's why i deleted all my pre-patch ah build chars and started a fresh. I realized the old chars were too reliant on "old stats AH items" and it was a bitch to upgrade them, yet somehow they were worse lol.

All my new chars finish 1 playthrough and are able to do t1 and even t2 on their own without any problems.

At level 60 or before?

Afaik, it's 'possible' to play T6 until you hit level 60 (or around 55 or so) if you have luck with drops.

But at 60 you need some gear to get into T1 even.

for example my monk with 60k dps and 1m toughness has trouble in Master even. (not survivability issues, just damage output).

My 150k Wiz breezes through T3 easily and 200k Barb clears T2 easily. (Frozen orb is totally OP right now Razz )

well, i played my characters on t1 to level them to 60. And once they hit 60 i either stayed t1 or went to t2. But there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between the 2 (certainly not when it comes to kills/time or drops).
